At PALM WEST's CELEBRITY SERVER earlier this week (which benefited the NYU School of Medicine), RANDY JONES, formerly of The Village People, was in the eatery's kitchen, when his well-worn jeans felt almost completely apart. "Let's just say that I could NOT walk back into the dining area like that," says Jones. Standing next to him was retired-judge LESLIE CROCKER-SNYDER, who said "I've got it", and whipped out a small sewing kit from her pocket. Jones and Snyder, surrounded by celebrity-chef ROCCO DeSPIRITO, Jokeman-JACKIE MARTLING; and Soprano-ROBERT FUNARO, broke into spontaneous applause.Palm West GM CHRIS GILMAN, who witnessed the entire fracas firsthand added, "To me... Leslie saved the day ... as everyone was back out on the floor within a matter of minutes."

However, Victoria - better known as Posh Spice - didn't have the heart to tell her children the band no longer existed when they asked her about the group. She revealed in an interview with Britain's Radio 1: "I showed the kids 'Spice Girls: The Movie' the other day, because being in Spain it's all about football and all about daddy, and the kids said, 'Mummy what did you actually do?'"So I put on the movie, and they loved it and it was on heavy rotation. Then one day I had been out to work and when I came home Romeo came running up to me and said, 'Mummy, have you been working with the Spice Girls?'And I couldn't let him down, so I said, 'Yeah, mummy has been working with the Spice Girls'. And he said, 'Have you been driving that bus mummy?' "Despite her white lie, Victoria has ruled out a possible Spice Girls reunion with her former bandmates, Mel C, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell. She explained: "I'm not sure that's going to happen we are all doing our own thing now. I'm not sure if I'm up for jumping around on stage any more, I don't think there will be a reunion."

A source is quoted by website MSNBC as saying: "She waited as long as she did to bury him because she was trying to figure out if she could get his body into the US. "Now that she might get booted out, the word is she's going to take her son's body with her. "Anna Nicole, 38, has had her Bahamian residency challenged after it was revealed that the waterfront mansion she claimed to own actually belongs to someone else and she has been served with a notice of eviction. It is alleged that the former model was hoping to make the Bahamas her permanent home to avoid a paternity test on her newborn daughter Dannielynn. Anna Nicole has named her lawyer, and lover, Howard K. Stern as the father of her daughter but photographer Larry Birkhead claims he is the biological dad and has issued a court order demanding a paternity test. Kate Winslet will "knife" anyone who calls her a bad mother. The 'Little Children' actress, who has a five-year-old daughter Mia and two-year-old son Joe, has warned people never to question her parenting skills. Kate threatened in Britain's Culture magazine: "People can throw anything they want at me, and be as mean as they like. But don't mess with me as a mother, because I will get out a knife and come after you! "The 31-year-old star says she felt "vulnerable" when she first became a mum and vehemently denies claims she abandoned her daughter Mia when she divorced her first husband Jim Threapleton. Kate fumed: "There was one article that suggested I wasn't even with my child and that she was with her dad. At that stage it was tough because I was facing the future of being a single mother. I was breast-feeding Mia until she was nine months - she was by my side every minute of every day."It's not fair to make stuff up. It's a very vulnerable time when you're a new parent. I was young - I was 25. When you're as young as that and going through a divorce, all you want to do it clutch your child to your bosom and hope you're doing everything right."Kate is now married to film director Sam Mendes.

'Desperate Housewives' star Marcia Cross is allegedly taking legal action to prevent nude photographs of her from being published. A firm hired to remove garbage from the pregnant star's Los Angeles home found over 200 personal photos of her being thrown out and are now trying to sell them to the highest bidder. The removal firm discovered the pictures when they arrived at the local dump and are now being represented by Phoenix-based agent David Hans Schmidt in their attempt to sell the pictures of flame-haired Cross. Scmidt told the New York Daily News newspaper: "There are some pictures of her showering outside. She looks absolutely gorgeous. And yes, the carpet does match the curtains."The pictures were not stolen. When you throw something away, you forfeit that property."We recognize the copyright issue, but US copyright law stops at the border."I'm not looking to mortify Ms. Cross, I just want the most money for my client."Cross, 44, and her husband Tom Mahoney, 48, are demanding the return of the pictures, their lawyers insist the images were thrown out by accident and the copyright belongs to the couple regardless. Schmidt - who earlier this year acquired the contents of Paris Hilton's public storage locker after she failed to pay the rent - is offering Cross the chance to buy back her photos, just as he did with Paris' locker contents. Schmidt claims to have also seen Cross' tax returns in the rubbish. He said: "I know how much she made, but out of respect for Ms. Cross, I won't discuss it."Cross and Mahoney were married last June. They are expecting twins in April and her pregnancy is to be written into the plot of 'Desperate Housewives'.

One mother whose son happened to be at the children's center as the party was wrapping up told Australia's Melbourne Herald Sun newspaper: "Bea looked lovely and seemed to be having a wonderful time. The date for the couple's nuptials has been confirmed as the weekend of Friday November 17 to Sunday November 19 and it was initially reported that the pair were going to tie the knot at George Clooney's Italian villa at Lake Como. It has now been claimed that Tom and Katie are actually going to wed at Italy's lavish Villa Feltrinelli hotel which overlooks Lake Garda. Katie, 27, is believed to have chosen the location after falling in love with it during a trip to the area with close friend Victoria Beckham - the wife of soccer superstar David. The 19th Century building was used by fascist dictator Mussolini to hide from the Allied forces during the war, but the hotel's colored history didn't put off the 'Batman Begins' actress. A source told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "Katie recently visited the hotel with Victoria and fell in love with it instantly. It's an ideal place for Tom and her to tie the knot because it's hidden away by dense greenery on the landward side, while the view on the opposite side which overlooks the lake is stunning. Katie was made aware that Mussolini used it as a war-time base, but she seemed more interested in the fact that the likes of Grace Kelly had stayed there."The hotel boasts 21 luxury bedrooms which are expected to be used by the wedding's star-studded guest list. Among those expected to attend, include Tom's fellow Scientologist JohnTravolta, George Clooney and Brad Pitt and his partner Angelina Jolie.

What is your favorite John Landis film and why? Ari: Oh that’s really tough. But I’ll say 3 Amigos, given that I watched in seven times in the theater when I was younger. Mark: For me it has to be American Werewolf in London. Scary. Sexy, Bloody. Funny. It had it all. What would you do with the $10,000 if you won? >Mark: First would be to try and trick Ari into believing it was $8,000. Then I think we really start to pump out some more Internet content. Letterman and the Fox News Channel talk show host are still fighting from a confrontation in January, when Letterman told him "I have the feeling about 60 percent of what you say is crap."Before O'Reilly even came out, Letterman made his feelings clear. "I'm secretly hoping when Bill O'Reilly comes out here, I'll have the opportunity to call him a bonehead," Letterman said. They discussed the Iraq war and the upcoming midterm election, with O'Reilly saying that Americans are depressed by the progress of the Iraq War, and that they'd rather watch escapist entertainment like "Dancing with the Stars" than the news. He asked Letterman: "Are you going to be on `Dancing with the Stars'?""Ha ha," Letterman said. "You bonehead."As part of their war with each other, O'Reilly said Letterman was guilty of oversimplifying a complicated situation. "You're putting words in my mouth," he told Letterman at one point."You're putting artificial facts in your head," Letterman responded. Ashton Kutcher has banned wife Demi Moore from speaking to flirtatious former president Bill Clinton. Ashton's anger was ignited after a recent dinner party at which Clinton spent the night charming the 43-year-old actress while ignoring her much-younger husband Ashton, 28."Ashton was angry at being treated that way, and it led to the biggest argument between him and Demi since they married a year ago," said an insider. Ashton told Jay Leno he felt like "the invisible man" when he spoke about the incident on his Sept. 28 appearance on the "Tonight Show.""Bill was so engrossed by Demi...I've never met a president before, but he didn't say a word to me the entire evening," said Ashton. "I was like the guy who wasn't there."But what Ashton DOESN'T know is that this isn't the first time the skirt-chasing ex-prez put the moves on Demi! In 2002, The ENQUIRER exclusively revealed that the two spent a sexy night together laughing and flirting at Hollywood's trendy Ago restaurant."During the evening there were a few times that Bill affectionately rubbed Demi's back as they were talking," a source said at the time. "She didn't back away — she smiled warmly at him as he touched her."But Demi defended herself when Ashton confronted her about the most recent incident, telling him there was "nothing she could have done to have changed the situation without being rude." The ENQUIRER has also learned Ashton wasn't the only angry spouse that evening. Sen. Hillary Clinton was infuriated by her hubby's amorous behavior — especially since she believes another family scandal could hurt her chances of winning if she decides to run for the presidency.

Her spokeswomen confirmed: "Nicole has decided to undergo diagnostic treatment to determine why she's not been putting on any weight."She is working with a team of doctors and specialists whose focus is nutrition. It is important to Nicole that she achieves this goal in a healthy way as this is not a treatment for an eating disorder."A source close to Nicole, 25, told People magazine: "She's tired of everyone saying you don't eat, because she does."She wants to gain weight. It wasn't anyone saying you have to go do this - it wasn't an intervention. It was her saying I'm tired of people saying this about me, I'm going to go get some tests. It was a personal decision."Earlier this year, Nicole admitted she had problems with her weight but partly blamed it on her split from on-off boyfriend, Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein. She said: "I know I'm too thin right now. I'm not happy with the way I look right now."

The former Beatle's first wife died of cancer in 1998 but during their 29-year marriage recorded 15 tapes of intimate revelations, which are now owned by her friend Paul Cox. A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "They're dynamite. Linda begins to unburden her troubles and the tapes become an audio diary."It's a private, emotional and confessional. She vents feelings which she'd not dared share with even her closest loved ones. She found the tapes cathartic."Paul, 64, yesterday gained a legal undertaking that the tapes would remain secret after fears they would be used by his estranged wife Heather Mills as evidence in her divorce case, which is to be heard in open court. The source said: "Mr Cox has been silenced and the tapes remain a secret - for now. "Paul's management company MPL Communications threatened to take Paul Cox to the High Court unless he agreed in writing not to make the tapes public. Sheridans law firm sent the threat to Mr Cox's representative - London lawyer Rodney Hylton-Potts. Sheridans demanded an undertaking, which was granted, not to disclose the contents of the tapes by 4pm yesterday. Paul is currently embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with ex-model Heather Mills, with both parties seeking divorce on the grounds of the other's unreasonable behaviour after their four year marriage, which produced daughter, Beatrice, now three. Steve Irwin

'South Park' creators have outraged fans of the late Steve Irwin by poking fun at his death. The latest episode of the satiric sketch, entitled 'Hell On Earth 2006', shows the 'Crocodile Hunter' attending a fancy dress party in Hell - along with the late Princess Diana and Hitler - with a stingray poking out of his bleeding chest. Irwin is then kicked out of the party by the Devil because he isn't in fancy dress. The scenes have sparked outrage among fans and media regulators because they appear to ridicule the wildlife expert's shocking death in September, when a stingray's barb pierced his chest while he was snorkeling near the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. British broadcasting watchdog Media watch branded the episode "grossly insensitive". Media watch director, John Beyer, said: "This is bad taste. Steve Irwin's family is still grieving. To lampoon somebody's death like this is unacceptable."'South Park' makers Comedy Central have defended the controversial episode, saying it is no different from their usual work. A spokesman said: "It has offended people in the past and probably will again. Regular watchers would not be shocked."

Paris Hilton has been left red-faced after being mistaken for herself. The 'House of Wax' actress and Pamela Anderson were dining at Los Angeles' lavish Koi restaurant last week when another customer approached the heiress and apologetically said: "Don't take this the wrong way, but you look like Paris Hilton. "The New York Daily News newspaper says the embarrassed - and offended - heiress replied: "I am Paris Hilton."The encounter is not Paris' only social snub in recent weeks. She was reportedly been banned from another A-list party. Paris was told not to show up at the week-long Esquire Show House event in Los Angeles because organisers "don't want her type there". That access denial came days after Paris was reportedly barred from a top New York celebrity hangout, the Gramercy Park Hotel. The host apparently told his security team not to let Paris in because "the likes of Paris Hilton and her ilk are not welcome here". Two weeks earlier, Paris was refused entry to Bungalow 8, in New York. She was told by security guards on the door that the club was "full to capacity."

Townshend, along with his girlfriend Rachel Fuller and Who bandmate Roger Daltrey, was listening to Stern's New York based broadcast as he waited in a London studio for his interview to begin. Co-host Robin Quivers asked Stern if they could talk about the "child pornography stuff" and claims he was abused as a child. Stern replied, "Oh yeah, we could ask him about that". Townshend, 61, stormed out, leaving Daltrey to do the interview. Daltrey fumed: "Can you imagine you're accused of this stuff and then you're found not guilty? If you had to defend yourself through this stuff? The wounds are so deep on the man, and it's just tragic because he's got so much to offer."Quivers maintained Townshend would have walked out anyway "even if we didn't bring that stuff up", adding: "He is such a testy guy."Stern, who called Fuller "Yoko" after it emerged she has co-written a song on the new Who album, eventually apologised. He said: "Tell Pete I am very sorry," he said. "We would have had a great interview with him. I really wish he'd reconsider this. We adore him."

Several times during the evening she was visited and it was clear she was still not in a fit state to be interviewed."The former drug addict was also required to take a narcotics test, which she is believed to have passed. As we agreed and we expect that after three to four years the child shall come back for us to see him."A Malawian court is expected to rule on appeals by 67 human rights groups who claim the adoption was illegal. Desmond Kaunda, director of the Malawi Human Rights Resource Centre, said: "We are not against the adoption because it is a right...but our main concern is to what extent was Madonna resident in Malawi to actually qualify for that kind of an order?"But Madonna - who appeared on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' on Wednesday to defend her actions - has insisted there were no adoption laws in the African country. The singer told Oprah: "There are no adoption laws in Malawi and I was warned by my social worker that we were more or less going to have to make them up as we went along. And she did say to me, 'Pick Ethiopia. Go to Kenya. Don't go to Malawi because you're just going to get a hard time'."Madonna assured the chat show host that she had not used her fame and wealth to "buy" baby David. She said: "I assure you it doesn't matter who you are or how much money you have, nothing goes fast in Africa."

The 'Mean Girls' star, who has been living in Los Angeles hotel Chateau Marmont for several months, has finally bought a multimillion-dollar apartment in Hollywood's Sierra Towers - much to the fury of local residents. One resident told Life and Style Weekly magazine: "We've always had celebrity residents, but all of them either lead quieter lives or are barely ever here. Everyone thinks she'll be having parties. Beyond the noise factor, it's a security issue. Look at the type and number of people she hangs out with. We don't want them roaming the building."'Simple Life' stars Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie were recently in the area and the swarms of paparazzi following them caused a traffic jam. The resident said: "We fear that's what will greet us every day if Lindsay moves in. "Sixty percent of people who live here are easily over 60."This is not going to end well. Mark my words, she'll be made miserable by the complaints and leave. Hopefully she won't move in at all."
