TRUMP FAMILY ONCE FORCED 900 MOSTLY BLACK FAMILIES LIVING IN CONEY ISLAND OUT OF THEIR HOMES

Image
TRUMP'S DID NOT WANT TO RENT TO AFRICAN AMERICANS OR HISPANICS
NOW THISvia You Tube -- The Trump's once forced 900 mostly Black families living in Coney Island out of their homes — here's how the family used taxpayer money to decimate a New York neighborhood.
This is a must see story. Trump's used the code letter (C) on apartment applications to tell the agents the person was colored and not to rent to them.
Washington Post -- When a black woman asked to rent an apartment in a Brooklyn complex managed by Donald Trump’s real estate company, she said she was told that nothing was available. A short time later, a white woman who made the same request was invited to choose between two available apartments.

The two would-be renters on that July 1972 day were actually undercover “testers” for a government-sanctioned investigation to determine whether Trump Management Inc. discriminated against minorities seeking housing at properties across Brooklyn and Queens.

Gov. Cuomo On Opening New York State
APRIL 26, 2020 -- During a press conference today in New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo talked about states reopening, and how coordination is "vital" to downstate New York, which includes New York City and Long Island.

Parts of upstate New York could begin “Phase 1” of reopening around the middle of May — provided COVID-19 hospitalizations have declined for two straight weeks by then — Gov. Cuomo said Sunday, though he noted that the Big Apple will require extra caution.

“I don't want to just reopen. We learned a lot of lessons here, painfully,” the governor told reporters in Albany. “We’re going to be better for it and we’re going to re-imagine what our life is and we’re going to improve for this pause.”

JEAN SHAFIROFF TALKS FOOD SHORTAGES ON JOE PISCOPO'S RADIO SHOW 'THE ANSWER'

Image
Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff was featured on Joe Piscopo's popular radio show "Am 970 The Answer" to speak about the disastrous food shortages across the USA and how we can help.
Ms. Shafiroff explained that since the Coronavirus pandemic began " over 17 million Americans have lost their jobs." She went on to say that "the huge increase in unemployment has translated into massive lines at food pantries across the country" .
She gave the following suggestions to listeners who wanted to help reduce this national food crisis.
1. Donate to a food pantry. Even donations as small as $5.00 help.
2. Volunteer to work at a food pantry .
3. Donate canned food or non-perishable food.
4. Help out a neighbor or friend who does not have food.
She then recommended donating to some of the following charities - Feeding America, God's Love We Deliver, Food Bank for NYC, Citymeals , Cityharvest , Heart of the Hamptons and NY Community Pantry.

DONALD TRUMP USES UNITED STATES POST OFFICE TO TAKE CREDIT FOR CORONAVIRUS GUIDELINES

Image
Story By James Edstrom - Donald Trump is a disgusting man and a poor excuse for a human being. Trump refuses to help the United States Post Office with their deficit, which every president in history has done. Trump wants the Post Office to go under so people can not have mail in votes. Remember when people vote, Republicans lose.
But the sad fact is, Donald Trump has no problem mailing out Coronavirus guidelines on the United States Post Office's dime, on Americans dime. He even makes sure he takes credit for the guidelines. Here we have someone that is willing to let the United States Post Office go under so people can not vote, but he did not mail this notice out with Fedex or UPS. When you look up the word moron, you see Donald Trumps picture.
The daily lies of Donald Trump are just a horror.  I know Trump personally for over 35 years, he has always been a con man and a crook. It is never about doing the right thing, it is always about money and power. How many people died as …

NANCY PELOSI STATEMENT ON TRUMP COVID19 FAILURE

Image
Dear Democratic Colleague,
This Easter Weekend provided me with a time for deeper prayer and reflection. This is an unbearably sad time with all Americans sharing the same devastating experience: we are grieving for those who have died from the coronavirus, we are fearful for our health and especially the health of our loved ones and we are heartbroken for our children who are unable to be in school and with their friends.
As Americans, we are suffering from pressures of economic hardship. All of us want to resume the precious and beautiful lives that America’s unique freedoms provide. We will overcome this moment, but success requires one fundamental from which all actions will follow: we need the truth. To succeed in this crisis, we must insist on the truth, and we must act upon it!
In order to move forward, we must first understand the truth of what has put us in this position:
The truth is that Donald Trump dismantled the infrastructure handed to him which was meant to plan f…

JEAN SHAFIROFF TALKS ABOUT FOOD BANK SHORTAGES ON FOX

Image
Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff was featured on national TV's "Fox and Friends" to talk about how to help reduce massive food shortages at the food banks across the country . TV reporters Rob Schmitt and Carley Shimkus quizzed Ms. Shafiroff who explained why food banks were both short on funds and volunteers because of the Corornavirus pandemic. Ms. Shafiroff concluded with the following suggestions to help reduce the problem.
1. Donate money. This is the very best way to help a food pantry. You can do this by writing a check or going on a food pantry's website and using a credit card or pay pal to make a donation.
2. Donate canned food and store sealed food.
3. Volunteer your time to help out. ( if you are volunteering, do not go to work feeling sick.). Not all food pantries are taking volunteers but volunteers are done by roughly 60%.
4. Encourage others to donate and advocate on behalf of food banks.
5. Watch out for sham organizations. Do a little research on …
