JEAN SHAFIROFF TALKS FOOD SHORTAGES ON JOE PISCOPO'S RADIO SHOW 'THE ANSWER'

Jean Shafiroff And Joe Piscopo

Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff was featured on Joe Piscopo's popular radio show "Am 970 The Answer" to speak about the disastrous food shortages across the USA and how we can help.

Ms. Shafiroff explained that since the Coronavirus pandemic began " over 17 million Americans have lost their jobs." She went on to say that "the huge increase in unemployment has translated into massive lines at food pantries across the country" .

She gave the following suggestions to listeners who wanted to help reduce this national food crisis.

1. Donate to a food pantry. Even donations as small as $5.00 help.

2. Volunteer to work at a food pantry .

3. Donate canned food or non-perishable food.

4. Help out a neighbor or friend who does not have food.

She then recommended donating to some of the following charities - Feeding America, God's Love We Deliver, Food Bank for NYC, Citymeals , Cityharvest , Heart of the Hamptons and NY Community Pantry.
