NANCY PELOSI STATEMENT ON TRUMP ICE RAIDS

Image
Nancy Pelosi Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi issued this statement after the Trump Administration conducted sweeping raids across Northern California that resulted in the arrest of more than 150 men and women, at least half of whom did not have a criminal record: “The Trump Administration’s raids were a shocking abuse of law enforcement power. Yet again, the White House has reached into our communities to indiscriminately detain scores of hard-working, law-abiding immigrants. “Fully half of those swept up in the ICE raids have no criminal record. This raid was intended solely to terrorize innocent immigrant families and instill fear in the hearts of our communities – not to keep Americans safe. Parents will now be torn from their children, and spouses ripped away from their loved ones. “The Administration continues to brazenly target the cities that refuse to bow to its blatantly bigoted anti-immigrant and mass deportation agenda.

FAMED NATIONAL ENQUIRER'S MIKE WALKER DIES

Image
James Edstrom & National Enquirer's Mike Walker Richard Johnson With Mike Walker & Geraldo Rivera We are hearing today from several friends that National Enquirer legend Mike Walker has died. Mike Walker came from the old time school of Gossip reporting. Mike checked his facts and hit the streets to get a story. When you made a deal with Mike, there were no contracts, no paper work, there was just a handshake or a agreement on the phone and Mike Walker kept his word.  Mike Walker had a book signing a while back and afterwords a few of us went out to dinner at Bobby Vans in Times Square.  We had a fun evening talking old times and gossip. In the 80's and 90's I was on many television shows with Mike Walker. It was always such fun listening to his style of reporting that only Mike could deliver. RIP MIKE WALKER!

MASS SHOOTING: THURSDAY'S NY DAILY NEWS COVER

Image
NY Daily News Cover With donations from the NRA to President Donald Trump, we will never see the end to mass shootings. Tomorrow's New York Daily News cover say's it all. When will it all stop? Looking at the photos of parents devastated, no one can imagine the loss of a child. A child that you sent to school to learn, a child that had it's whole life ahead. We are sure Donald Trump will have some outlandish excuse on why this happened. Sad to say, how would Donald Trump feel if this was his children or grandchildren. I am sure he would be talking gun control then! I spoke to a neighbor, her nephew goes to that school. He alleged the school was told by other students over a year ago about Nikolas Cruz and did nothing. We will see. At least 17 people are reportedly dead and 15 injured after a shooter opened fire in a South Florida high school on Wednesday afternoon. Police have identified the suspect as Nikolas Cruz. A suspect is in cus

COUNCILMAN JIMMY VAN BRAMER'S GAY HATE LETTER

Image
Jimmy Van Bramer Hate Letter Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer got a gay hate letter this week. In this day and age there are still crazies out there that refuse to let us all live in peace. As much as I disagree with Jimmy's in-action here in Hunters Point South on problems that we have, I find a letter like this just disgusting.  I lived through the GAY BASHING in New York City in the 70's and 80's. I grew up being called names all through High School. One thing I realized as I got older, most of the GAY HATERS were closet cases themselves. Years later the same people that bullied me for being gay in High School, I would see in the gay clubs. Some were even married and had wives.  In the 70's and 80's GAY BASHING was the thing to do. Straights would come to the Village and beat up innocent people for no reason. I had friends that ended up in the hospital. With someone like Donald Trump in the White House, GAY BASHING seems to be coming back in fas

GUY PEARCE & PIERCE BROSNAN IN "SPINNING MAN"

Image
Spinning Man Evan Birch (Guy Pearce) is a family man and esteemed professor at a distinguished college, where his charm and reputation have made his philosophy class very popular. When a female student named Hannah goes missing, Evan's previous off-campus dalliances make his wife (Minnie Driver) question his alibi. Gruff police Detective Malloy (Pierce Brosnan) has even more reason to be suspicious when crucial evidence makes Evan the prime suspect in Hannah's disappearance. Suddenly, the questions Evan faces aren't merely academic - they're a matter of life or death. Director Simon Kaijser's taut and twisty SPINNING MAN, a gripping examination of crime, punishment and conscience, stars Guy Pearce (L.A. Confidential, Memento, The King's Speech), Pierce Brosnan (No Escape, The Ghost Writer, GoldenEye), Minnie Driver (Grosse Point Blank, Good Will Hunting, TV's Speechless), Jamie Kennedy (The Scream series, Ghost Whisperer) and Clark Gregg (
