DANCING WITH THE STARS VEGAS BIRTHDAYS

Friday night a crew from Dancing With the Stars gathered at LAVO to celebrate the birthdays of the show's competitors Maria Menounos, who turned 34 earlier this month and Katherine Jenkins who celebrated her 32nd last night. The ladies were joined by the show's professionals including Derek Hough, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Cheryl Burke, and Peta Murgatroyd, along with a group of friends for dinner at the Italian eatery. They feasted on favorites from the kitchen, including the Kobe Meatball and ended dinner with a toast and sweets for the birthday girls. After dinner, Cheryl and Maksim ended their night at Marquee Nightclub.
Also at LAVO was Kelly Bensimon. The model, former star of The Real Housewives of New York and author hosts at TAO Beach on Saturday in honor of her new book, I Can Make You Hot. She dined with friends before heading up to the nightclub for LAVO's La Freak Fridays.

FX’s biggest night of comedy ever also proved to be one of cable’s biggest nights of comedy ever as Anger Management set ratings records for a primetime scripted comedy series premiere, Wilfred and Louie returned to the network with significant growth over their prior seasons, and FX’s entry into the late night arena, BrandX with Russell Brand, got off to a strong start. Last night marked the most-watched Thursday night (prime, 8-11 PM) in FX’s 18-year history in both Total Viewers (3.05 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.54 million).
Last night’s series debut of Anger Management (9:00 PM) was the most-watched primetime scripted comedy series premiere in cable history in delivery of Adults 18-49 (2.65 million), and Total Viewers (5.47 million, excluding children’s programming). It was a milestone occasion in Las Vegas this Thursday as pop music icon and former American Idol sweetheart Paula Abdul celebrated her 50th birthday at The Palazzo Las Vegas. The singer and television personality, along with a couple dozen of her closest friends, commemorated the occasion by soaking up some sun at Azure, The Palazzo Las Vegas' luxury pool. Paula and her beau Johnny Caprio, who also joined in on the fun by celebrating his own birthday at Azure that day, chatted with guests about what it was like to turn 50. "It's a huge birthday for me! I'm excited about it. It's a monumental birthday for sure!" Paula explained to a couple of extra-important guests: her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Abdul partied with their daughter to help ring in her five decades of life and enjoy a few things that The Palazzo Las Vegas had to offer. Since 2006 The Tony Randall Theatrical Fund has distributed over $1Million to more than 50 companies. This year the Fund is pleased to award general operating support grants to nine exceptional theater companies with a proven track record of artistic excellence and ambitious, mission-driven theater-making. Special consideration this year was given to companies committed to the development of new audiences and the production of relevant work with a social conscience.


With a grant to both the Tectonic Theatre Project and the Brooklyn Academy of Music, TRTF applauds their Winter 2013 presentation of THE LARAMIE PROJECT.
