The eco-friendly Argentario Golf Resort & Spa, which opened just more than year and a half ago in the rolling hills of Porto Ercole, Italy’s Tuscany region, provides the perfect gateway for the mind, body and spirit.

The resort features 73 rooms; 7 Suites, 55 Junior Suites plus 11 Superior Rooms. Each room has a terrace that either overlooks Monte Argentario or the golf course. Comfort at the Argentario begins with guests’ first steps into the Resort as they desire to relax, to be pampered and to play Golf.

The Espace Wellness Center offers an array of activities including an aromatic Turkish bath, Thalasso therapy, Finnish sauna, Bio sauna with color therapy, Kneipp course, multi-sensory experience shower, a 24 hour fitness center, an indoor and outdoor pool, a solarium, a tennis court and a soccer field. The spa also features the Medispa Medical Center, where guests can book dermatology treatments, naturopathy and nutrition programs.

The Argentario Golf Club, designed by David Mezzacane, features 18 panoramic holes with a par 71. The course, titled “The Best Golf Course in Italy” in 2006, has also been awarded the “Agri Cert Certification” for its eco-friendly design and use of eco-friendly maintenance products. The course is located in a protected natural area, only five minutes from the Duna Feniglia Nature Reserve and 15 miles from the Parco dell’Uccellina Reserve. The Orbetello Lagoon, the sea and the hillside provide a beautiful panorama and create a microclimate that allows golf to be played year-round. 

 

Argentario Golf Resort & Spa’s Dama Dama Restaurant, offers a gourmet Tuscan and Italian cuisine with particular attention to the culinary traditions of the Maremma region. The menu, crafted by executive chef Emiliano Lomardelli interprets local recipes with particular care for local organic products. Dama Dama, created by renowned restaurateur Fabrizio Santucci, also houses an extensive cellar with wines from Maremma, Tuscany.

The resort offers transportation to and from the airport. Customized packages are available according to guest’s requests and preferences.
