The wait in Long Island’s Jericho is finally over with the highly anticipated opening of the latest celebrity outpost of Philippe by Philippe Chow, which is currently in previews and will officially open this month. With locations in New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Mexico City and East Hampton, Philippe boasts an impressive celebrity clientele including President Barak Obama, Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, George Clooney, Dustin Hoffman , Robert De Niro, Jay Z and more. Now the residents of Jericho can indulge the same haute Chinese cuisine. The Jericho location is backed by Jerome “The Bus” Bettis (Former Pittsburgh Steelers Superbowl Champion and NBC personality) and Chauncey Billups (Denver Nuggets), so it’s sure to attract a slew of celebrities and socialites, just like the other Philippe locations. Notable Jericho residents include actress Adrienne Shelly and musician Jon Carin from Pink Floyd. They’re sure to love Philippe’s signature dishes, like the mouth-watering Chicken Satay or the divine Maine Lobster Spring Rolls.

Owner and Executive Chef Philippe Chow has studied Chinese cuisine for decades. Soon after arriving in America in 1979, he began his career at Mr. Chow (no relation) where he mastered his skills with some of the best in the industry for over 25 years. Chef Philippe demonstrated his 'hand pulled' noodle skills on one of the network cooking shows in 1999 and was well received by the audience. Philippe went on to become one of the prominent chefs in 2002 and helped make the restaurant one of the best eateries in Manhattan. The next logical step was to open up his very own restaurant. His eponymous eatery might only be five years old, but in that short time it has already gotten a lot of buzz.
