Shaquille O'Neal celebrated his 40th birthday at LAVO Saturday night. The four time NBA Champion and 12 time All-Star arrived on the red carpet to a throng of fans before heading in to dine with a large group of friends. After feasting on Kobe Meatballs, Penne Ala Vodka, Strip Steaks and more Shaq made his way to the nightclub. Once upstairs he wasted no time getting the party started, jumping into the booth with DJ Obi One and grabbing the mic. The packed crowd cheered and pulled out their camera phones to capture the excitement. Obi One treated club goers to a medley of songs with Shaq shouting out to the club at all times. He was surprised by a basketball birthday cake from Gimme Some Sugar that he offered up to the crowd, thanking them for coming out to celebrate.
At TAO, Swedish indie pop band Miike Snow made their Vegas nightclub debut. They first dined at the Asian Bistro, enjoying Wasabi Filet, Buddha Chicken and Sushi. Once upstairs in the nightclub they took over a VIP sky box in the moat section before heading to the DJ booth where they entertained club goers with a set of favorite hits.
Kaskade returned to a packed house at Marquee. Hockey star Sean Avery, who just announced he will likely retire at the end of the season, was spotted checking out the superstar DJ, as was Stephanie Fantauzzi from the hit Showtime series Shameless.
