Sunlit and airy, the eatery—now owned by restaurateur Irma Herzog—offers a menu of traditional American fare, peppered with a selection of International cuisine. New for the 2011 summer season, The Driver’s Seat has revamped its interior with modern renovations, using owner Irma’s own personal aesthetic and vision. Redesigning the restaurant’s back patio, as well as landscaping a beautiful garden with live flowers, Irma has given The Driver’s Seat a refreshing change to the classic Hamptons’ staple.
With Executive Chef Hortensia Martinez at the wheel, guests will find classic summer favorites including: Lobster Roll Sandwich, Baked Clam Casserole, Mexican quesadillas and fajitas, and their famous Driver’s Seat Burgers. Purchasing all of their ingredients from local farmers and preparing dishes onsite, The Driver’s Seat ensures that Hampton locals and vacationers alike enjoy the freshest dishes possible.
Open year round, seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the venue is a must visit during the week, offering indoor and outdoor Happy Hour from 5:00PM to 6:00PM—try their signature Long Island Ice Tea, a Southampton favorite with The Driver’s Seat’s own sour mix—and Sunday Brunch featuring a complementary homemade Bloody Mary and or Mimosa from 11:30AM to 5:00PM.
