Resorts Hotel And Casino
Gallagher's Atlantic City
Wow. What a trip I had down the shore this past weekend. Once again, I decided on a getaway to Atlantic City – the beach, the Ocean, the history, and the people just captivate me every time I go. Though many times, I have chosen the Trump Taj Mahal (and my good friend Mary Moyer) as my hotel (and guide) of choice, I decided to check out a different hotel – the one that’s actually connected to the Taj and that was
Resorts Hotel And Casino. While one of the towers at Resorts is historic, I stayed in the new Rendezvous Hotel Tower. It was spectacular. I had a huge Spacious room, tasteful décor, and three bathrooms along with a living room and mini kitchen. A lot of room for a guy used to a Studio in Times Square. I dined at their coffee shop called Breadtsicks and the food and service were excellent. I had a meatball sub that I couldn’t even finish! I also treated myself to night out at Gallagher’s Steakhouse - yep, a sister restaurant to the one on New York City's Broadway. My New York Strip (wide a side of peppercorn dipping sauce), garlic mash, and the Cheesecake were downright decadent. The wine list was extensive, so I took a recommendation from the bartender Gaz, and he recommended a BV Cabernet. It was to die for. My waiter Dan, was just the best. This guy really knows the menu and knew the answer to everything I asked. I highly recommend Resorts’ Rendezvous Tower and
Gallagher’s to you for your next trip to AC. And if you do so on Fri or Sat, I’m told their 70s and 80s night club Boogie Nights is hot. I got the grand tour when it was closed during the day, and this looks like a party spot I am going to check out soon. My thanks to Public Relations wiz Brian Cahill for really making sure I got to see it all..
