In addition to the donation, the MTV Jersey Shore star and resident DJ will host a special benefit performance at The Pool After Dark at Harrah’s Resort on December 8th. The event dubbed “Spinning for the Shore,” will feature additional opportunities for fans to donate.

Architecture For Humanity is a nonprofit design services firm that aims to build a more sustainable future through the power of professional design. Each year 100,000 people directly benefit from structures designed by Architecture For Humanity.

“Working with The Pool After Dark at Harrah’s Resort for this benefit performance really allows me to give back. The success of this event is meant to help rebuild this community not only structurally, but also spiritually,” said resident DJ Pauly D. “We hope that people will come out and see how much fun it can be to support a good cause. I have so many irreplaceable memories at the Jersey Shore and I want everyone else to have that same opportunity. I will do whatever I can to help rebuild. This event is great because people can come out and have a good time while knowing they are doing something to help. I chose to donate to Architecture For Humanity because I wanted to work with a charity directly focused on rebuilding the shore and the community who put me on the map,” continued Pauly.

LISA MARIE PRESLEY TO PLAY ATLANTIC CITY

****
ATLANTIC CITY GOSSIP
****

Lisa Marie Presley

Trump Taj Mahal presents Lisa Marie Presley in the Xanadu Theater on Saturday, November 10, 2012. Show time is at 8pm. Ticket prices are $24 and $19. Tickets can be obtained by either calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-736-1420, on line at www.ticketmaster.com.

With all the hoopla that has surrounded her, it's easy to forget that Lisa Marie Presley is at heart a simple Southern girl whose earliest musical memories are of obsessively listening to 45's in her bedroom at Graceland and of her dad catching her singing into a hairbrush in front of a mirror at the age of three.

The Memphis-born Presley reclaims those roots on her new album Storm & Grace — an Americana-inspired showcase for her songwriting talent and smoldering alto voice. Produced with elegant restraint by 12-time Grammy Award-winner T Bone Burnett, Storm & Grace is a marked departure from Presley's previous albums, 2003's gold-certified To Whom It May Concern and 2005's Now What, which both debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard's Top 200 chart.

The album's rootsy golden tone is set immediately with the opening track “Over Me,” with its echoey guitar line, burping bassline, shuffling backbeat, and lyrics that lament a lover who's replaced her, while the ominous, swampy lead single “You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet” and the pedal-steel and mandolin-driven title track sound like they could have been recorded during an impromptu back-porch jam session.

FUEL TO PLAY HOUSE OF BLUES ATLANTIC CITY

Showboat In Atlantic City

Popular rock band Fuel will play the Party Pit at the House of Blues at Showboat Saturday, July 7th. Lead by original singer Brett Scallions, the band will play a free, open-to-the-public show at Showboat’s rock and roll gaming area.

“Fourth of July weekend will be huge this year with Jamie Foxx and Pauly D at the Pool After Dark, Mary J Blige at Caesars, Papa Roach and Disco Biscuits at House of Blues, and Fuel at the Party Pit ,” said Jason Spencer, Regional Director of Entertainment for Caesars Entertainment. “Regardless of your style, there is an event for you this Fourth of July.”

Since they burst onto the scene with their 1998 full-length debut Sunburn, Fuel has been a staple on rock radio regardless of the ebb and flow of ephemeral musical trends. After the massive success of “Shimmer,” Fuel released 2000’s Something Like Human, which featured the hit singles “Innocent” and “Hemorrhage (In My Hands)” and achieved double platinum status. After 3 years filled with touring, Fuel released 2003’s Natural Selection, which featured the hit “Falls On Me.”

“There’s been a lot of turmoil within the band over the past few years and a lot of that is reflected in these songs,” says guitarist and chief songwriter Carl Bell. “When change happens it brings out the best and the worst in people, and I’d like to think that for us it was mostly the best.”

RUSSELL BRAND AT BORGATA HOTEL & CASINO

Russell Brand

Saturday night Russell Brand put on a hilarious show at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, calling sex-hotlines using an audience member’s phone, trashing members of the audience who made crude comments (one even calling out “Katy Perry”). At one point Russell even had to tell an audience member in the front row to “shut-up” as he was trying to put on a performance. He couldn’t seem to get a word in edge-wise with this very enthusiastic crowd. As he walked through the audience, Russell hugged fans and even took gifts from an audience member who gave him a bag including books and a banana, which Russell pointed out was a bizarre gift to give.

Popular alternative band Trapt will play the Party Pit at the House of Blues at Showboat April 21st. The show, a stop on their North American tour this year, will feature Trapt playing hits from all albums including their newest single ”Bring It”.

“Showboat is Atlantic City’s premier LIVE ENTERTAINMENT venue, featuring everything from Marilyn Manson to Big and Rich in the House of Blues, to the exclusive free concerts in the Party Pit,” said Jason Spencer, Regional Director of Entertainment for Caesars Entertainment. “We continue to add great bands like Trapt to the lineup, adding a solid hard rock element to our diverse offerings.”

Formed in the mid 90’s, Trapt has enjoyed a string of hit including “Headstrong”, “Still Frame” and “Echo” off of their five studio albums. The band’s newest album, “No Apologies” dropped in 2010 to positive reviews and served as a reminder that while grown up, Trapt could still provide heavy riffs and powerful lyrics. The band will tour throughout the United States this year and is scheduled to co-headline legendary St. Louis Music Festival Pointfest with acts like Rob Zombie and Sevendust.

The performance is free and open to the public and Showboat Atlantic City urges fans looking to view the concert up close to come early, as reservations are not accepted.
