JOHN MAYER TWITTERS ABOUT A GAY KISS

Singer John Mayer is dismissing gossip he left a gay club after a clubber gave him a kiss on his lips. John is insisting he "had a blast" and found the crowd "respectful". The star enjoyed a night out at Toucan's Tiki Lounge in Palm Springs, California last weekend but was hit with media reports of a gay kiss. Mayer says a same-sex smooch is totally untrue. In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "Rumor check: went to gay bar in Palm Springs, yes. Had a blast. Danced my face off. Someone there planted a kiss on me? No. "I don't like the story painting gays as unable to control themselves. Found the crowd even more respectful than in a straight club. You know who the most flamboyant crowd is? Straight, drunk girls. They're like a bunch of little Charles Nelson Reillys."
