LICKING LINDSAY LOHAN IS NOT A SUSPECT

Friends of licking Lindsay Lohan are fearing the former star is heading for breakdown after she was spotted allegedly acting "oddly and erratically" at New York City clubs over the weekend. Lindsay was in the Big Apple with her younger brother Michael on Friday night, but spent much of the time on her phone and demanding bodyguards stop people taking pictures of her, according to the New York Post's gossip column Page Six. A snitch tells the publication, "She spent most of the time on her phone." Lohan spent a second party night out in the Big Apple on Saturday, where clubbers at The Box claim the star was behaving "extremely oddly and erratically." The insider adds, "She came in at 4:30 a.m. and went to a VIP room where she immediately climbed a stripper pole. A little later, she walked up to a tall, handsome guy and asked him a question. When he said he didn't know the answer, she lost it and started yelling and cursing and flying around the room. She was not acting normally." The star's crazy antics continued the following day as she took to her Internet page to complain of restlessness, and publish a topless picture of herself. In the photo, uploaded on Twitter.com, the 22-year-old is seen posing provocatively with just her long hair covering her breasts. Lohan posted the candid shot with the caption: "Old Photos. I'm THAT bored" and revealed the picture was taken during a recent shoot for fashion brand Fornarina. Also in Lohan land, Elle magazine bosses, are convinced she's not responsible for gems stolen from their photo shoot recently. London police have confirmed they are investigating the former star in connection with the theft of jewelry worth $45,000 from licking Lohan's shoot with Elle magazine earlier this month. Lindsay spoke out on Tuesday through her mouthpiece, denying any involvement and agreeing to cooperate with the authorities. Elle magazine chiefs are standing by her claims, releasing a statement that reads, "I can confirm on behalf of Elle magazine that items of jewelry went missing from an Elle photo shoot two weeks ago and the matter is now being investigated by the police. "Elle has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make."
