JERRY SPRINGER AT FORMER MAYORS SUMMIT

Jerry Springer appeared at a summit with 7 other former mayors of Cincinnati. The newly created Xavier Institute for Politics and Public Life sponsored “The State of the City” forum. Returning to Cincinnati had a lot of personal significance for Springer. Mike Ford, the Founding Director of the Institute, is Springer’s former Chief of Staff and (perennial) Campaign Manager. "Mike is truly the best person to lead the Institute" said Springer after he heard Mike introduce the Institute as the place for students to learn why to do politics, not simply how to do politics. "I have had the benefit of Mike's talents for the past 30 years" said Springer. "Now he gets to share that knowledge with our next generation of leaders."The local coverage (linked below) focused on the link between economic progress and social tolerance.
