TEXT MESSAGE STARTED RIHANNA TROUBLE
A text message sent by Chris Brown's manager and rumored former lover sparked his fight with pop star Rihanna, according to TMZ. Brown has been charged with assault and making criminal threats after an allegedly violent argument with the singer on the night of February 8th. The singer was reportedly left with cuts and bruises and needed medical attention for her injuries. According to TMZ. Tina Davis, who was rumored to have had a romantic relationship with Brown when he was just 16, sent the Chris a lengthy text message on his cell phone during the night in question, triggering the fight between the pair. An affidavit by a detective investigating the case allegedly refers to the text message as being "from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with," while law enforcement sources claim the message to the R&B star proposed a meeting for a late-night rendezvous. Davis, 40, and Brown, 19, have both denied the affair. Chris is free on $50,000 bail after he was granted a continuance at his arraignment hearing last week. He is due back in court in April.
