Licking Lindsay Lohan is slamming the press for portraying her as "spoiled, ungrateful and unprofessional". She Say's this is hampering her Hollywood career in the process. The former actress is frequently in and out of the headlines for her allegedly turbulent romance with lesbian girlfriend D.J. Samantha Ronson as well as fights with her father Michael. Licking Lindsay, who has spent time behind bars and in rehab for drug and alcohol issues, is insisting she is no longer the wild party girl she used to be, and she's simply trying to focus her energies on her so-called movie career. She is urging critics to leave her and D.J. Ronson alone and stay out of her personal life, because she just wants to do "positive" things with her fame. Lohan tells
E! Online, "They need to stop saying we're fighting. People (are) telling lies about me to her and all this garbage. I'm really a good person and I have a good heart and just want to work. The only reason I go to clubs is to hear Samantha spin or be normal. "I don't drink, I don't do drugs and I don't lie. I love to act and write and be creative, and I want to help people by playing characters that can send a positive message out to whomever may need it." Lohan is also fed up with the obsessive devotees that buy into all the tabloid gossip about her, claiming they are the ones fueling the media interest in her love life. She adds, "All the sicko fans and the noise is so distracting. ... If (only) people would just stop judging me and accusing me and making me out to be this aloof, spoiled, ungrateful and unprofessional person that I am not and could never be." Maybe Lindsay, if you would start treating the press with respect, you would get the same back.
