Talk show host Alex Trebek is thanking fans for their messages of support after he suffered a heart attack.The Jeopardy! presenter was admitted to Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Tuesday after being struck down by the life-threatening condition and is now recovering at his Studio City home. According to, fans have inundated the 67-year-old with get well cards and Trebek insists he is truly grateful. He also hopes to be back on TV screens in the new year. He says, "I’m truly overwhelmed by the great show of support and compassion expressed in the past few days to me, my family and my co-workers. Even though I know Jeopardy! is a very popular program, I was still surprised at the number of people who took time from their schedules to call or send a note of encouragement. I thank you all so very much. "I will be back in the studio on January 14 to tape our Teen Tournament, which is always one of my favourite competitions. Meanwhile, I hope you will continue to watch and enjoy the program."
