COLIN FARRELL HELPS HOMELESS MAN
Colin Farrell took a homeless man on a $10,000 shopping spree. The 'Miami Vice' star - who was in Toronto, Canada, to promote new movie 'Cassandra's Dream' - bumped into a tramp known as Stress, who he has met before, and whisked him away to the city's Europe Bound Travel Outfitters store to kit him out in new clothes and street essentials. The Irish actor strolled into the shop and demanded: "Get him anything he wants."Store manager Dave Mott said: "It was like they were best buddies. The homeless guy was going around grabbing stuff."The pair picked up a $500 Arc'Teryx coat, a North Face sleeping bag, and a rolling backpack stuffed with socks, boots and underwear. Mott added: "Everything was top line."The total bill came to a whopping $2,100, but Farrell's generosity did not end there. The 31-year-old star then took Stress to a cashpoint, where he drew out a wad of $20 bills for him. He also arranged to get Stress off the streets and pay the rent on a room for him for a year. The whole day is rumored to have set the millionaire actor back around $10,000. After Farrell dropped Stress in the Yorkville area of the city, the shocked vagrant said: "I'm all set up. This is my chance to get off the street."Stress now plans to tour the star's native Ireland by bike. It is not the first time Farrell has helped Stress out.Four years ago, Farrell was shooting his film 'A Home At The End Of The World' in the city and a radio DJ announced she would give $2,000 to the person who delivered the star to the station. Farrell grabbed the first homeless person he saw, who happened to be Stress, threw him into his limousine and took him straight to the station, so he could claim the prize.
