SPORT STAR BILL MAAS CHARGED FOR DRUGS
Former American football star-turned-TV host BILL MAAS has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon and drugs possession after he was stopped by police on Friday. The 45-year-old, who played for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Green Bay Packers in the ’80s and ’90s before becoming a sports anchor at Fox, was stopped by cops in Peoria, Illinois. Police allegedly found a .22 caliber revolver, 28 ecstasy pills, five grams of marijuana and six grams of cocaine.Maas and the other occupant of the car, Sarah J. Murphy, were charged with possession of marijuana and with possession of a controlled substance. Maas was also charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
