HARDING **** Quentin Tarantino Just A Revolution – NBC’s Revolution, unceremoniously canceled by the network, bid a fond adieu to the airwaves Wednesday night with a show that was both well-acted and particularly well written. It was more of a season finale than a series finale, but by the time the network cut the show, the episode had already been written and filmed. The show joins a group of sci-fi shows (Jericho, Millennium,Fast Forward, Almost Human, Dollhouse, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles; Stargate; and Alphas) that struggled at first, but began to build a sizable following that ultimately was ignored by the network. Revolution, in its second season, was not helped at all by a terrifically long-spring break by the network. The show, created by J.J. **** SAILING THE SEAS WITH Z100 **** Fleet Week With Elvis Duran Elvis Duran and The Morning Show proudly welcomed the men and women of USMC/USN to New York City this morning, as we officially kick off Fleet Week. Elvis shared with his listeners, “This week is so important, and Memorial Day is so much more than just a three day weekend and the white sale at Macy’s. This is an opportunity for us to see our men and women who serve this country on the street, and thank them for all they do and sacrifice for each one of us.” Elvis invited a group of men and women from the Navy on-air to express how excited our city is to host them this week. HARDING **** Elizabeth Moss THE STRATEGY --- The last ten minutes of last Sunday’s Mad Men (“The Strategy”) was pure gold; perhaps the best three scenes ever in the Matt Weiner’s epic show. One scene with Peggy Olsen (Elizabeth Moss); one with the partners at SCP; and the ending one, sort of a group scene, which just blew me away. Simply dazzling. Now in its last season (7) and split in half (the final show this year airs next week); it’s been a tough go, with fans lamenting its demise, while the pundits ready to champion something new. One thing’s for sure, Jon Hamm, fully owns the role of the show’s Don Draper and once this show leaves the airwaves, there will indeed be a big hole in the TV framework. Hamm, in a great cover story in the new Vanity Fair, fully admits that he'll never again have a role like Don Draper … and, that the creation is truly collaboration between him and Weiner. ...

Harding **** Barbara Walters WALTERS ADIEU --- We watched the two-hour broadcast on ABC last Friday (Barbara Walters: Her Story) about departing newswoman Barbara Walters … and, was literally gobsmacked by the depth and width of the people she has interviewed in her 50-year career; from Betty Davis to Mamie Eisenhower (!) and, Castro, Carrey and Carson. I recall growing up and watching her interviews and being more fascinated than anything else about her choice of subjects; deftly mixing the entertainment and news barriers. Listen, it was compelling for sure. Watching this special was like recalling so many instances from my growing up. "Darkness is one of those things that I don't think that I can veer away from just because I have a child."
