Once again, Petra Brehl and Rick Dugas have outdone themselves on the new re-designed rooms. I am very impressed that they were able to go green and save so much of the antique woodwork. From the one bedroom apartments to the studio's with decks, everything is perfect. In fact, since word got around, the place is sold out for this weekend. Guests are having fun and enjoying just about everything in Cherry Grove.

Celebrity Chef Stephen Daniello
Cherry's On The Bay is open and wild. Top Of The Bay Bistro is in full swing with Celebrity Chef Stephen Daniello sauteing up a storm with his 5 star cuisine and Sand Castle on the ocean is undergoing major renovations and should be open soon. Famed drink mixer Johny Pool has arrived and his fans are lining up at Cherry's for another great summer with the legend.
Dinner this week at Top Of The Bay Bistro was just a pleasure. Having eaten at all the top restaurants in New York City, and almost always being disappointed, it was such a change to have such great food. Top Of The Bay Bistro is the kind of restaurant we should have in New York City. There are no surprises and every course brings a new adventure. On your next visit to Dune Point, this is a must place to dine.

Since the season is getting in full swing, Chef Daniello has been expanding the menu. The Cajun Shrimp Beignets is to die for. The Split Pea Soup with Crispy Pancetta and Scallions is a sure bet to start with. My friends at my table were raving about the new Bayou Cajun Shrimp over Dirty Rice and a Cajun Rubbed Pork Loin. The Crispy Skin Long Island Duck with an Orange Raisin and Scallion reduction, was cooked to perfection. Happy Hour starts 5-7pm! Reservations are are best to make sure you have a table.
