HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN AND MARC JACOBS
Marc Jacobs Collection
Do you believe that all Fathers should be honored & celebrated on Father’s Day? We do.
The Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, would like to introduce you to our latest collaboration with openly gay designer and longtime activist Marc Jacobs in recognition of families with two Dads. Celebrated each year on the third Sunday of June, Father’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate ALL fathers. Little Marc Jacobs, the designer’s highly successful children’s line, is proud to embrace the diversity of American families - including those families with two dads.
Inspired by Marc Jacobs International President and gay dad Robert Duffy, these innovative and politically forward infant and toddler t-shirts feature a clever re-wording of the familiar saying: “If Dad says no, ask Dad.”
In every corner of our nation, there are loving, committed same-sex couples raising children or hoping to do so one day. While a growing number of states provide some form of legal recognition for their relationships – and the associated rights, benefits and protections critical to building safe and strong families – in most places in the United States, lesbian and gay couples are treated as legal strangers, to each other and in many cases to the children they are raising.
Constructed of 100 percent organic cotton and garment washed for a super soft feel, these infant and toddler t-shirts are available in unisex sizes 6-12M, 12-18M, 2T and 4T. With only 200 produced, the limited-edition collaboration will be sold exclusive at HRC Stores in Provincetown, MA; San Francisco, CA; Palm Springs, CA; Washington, D.C.; online at shop.hrc.org and in the Little Marc Jacobs store in NYC. Retailing for $35, 100 percent of net proceeds will go toward HRC's fight for LGBT equality.
