US WEEKLY EXPLORES HEIDI KLUM AND SEAL

Heidi Klum And Seal's Us Weekly Cover

The cover story from the new issue of Us Weekly, looks into Heidi Klum and Seal’s shocking split. For all of their public displays of intense affection, the couple has been privately grappling with marriage-breaking issues. Among them: Seal’s mood swings and his jealousy about Klum’s skyrocketing career. “They had a rough road lately,” says a source close to the pair. “They were so in love that they wanted to get married over and over again, but there were dark moments they didn’t want to expose to the public.” Adds another source, “They just have a very tempestuous love. They’re either madly in love or having crazy fights.”

At the root of the blowups: the fact that they are two fundamentally different people. “She’s an upbeat, happy person,” says one friend. “He comes from a very troubled, sad background. It’s what makes him an amazing artist, but a very difficult person to be married to.” At times , his temper flared, according to sources. “He is not a nice person,” says one source, who claims that Seal “would often talk down to Heidi in public. He spoke to her at business functions like she was the help. It was so degrading.” When Seal felt she was holding court at a Victoria’s Secret show, says the source, he became incensed at the attention. “He was yelling at her for doing so much press and saying that she needed to calm down, and why does she need to be in the spotlight all the time?” Red carpet events could prove to be ego minefields for the couple. A witness says it “made Seal crazy when photographers asked him to get out of the way so they could shoot Heidi alone.”

For now, as they decide whether to officially file for divorce, both Seal and Klum are taking the high road in public.

Taylor Armstrong

Us Magazine also has The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Taylor Armstrong, with excerpts from her tell-all included, where she reveals her late husband’s spying, rage and violence. Within months of their first date on Valentine’s Day in 2005, Taylor and Russell moved in together. But soon she began to see strange behavior: He grilled her about suspected sexual partners and did a background check, even posing as a potential employer to call her college. One day she found a tape recorder underneath her desk in her home office. “I’m just trying to get to know you because I’ve been burned,” Russell explained. “For the next nearly six years, I always assumed I was being recorded in the car and at home.” Taylor thought fatherhood would mellow out Russell, who became physically abusive when she was pregnant. A brief calm followed their October 2005 wedding and Kennedy’s birth in February 2006. Then he started to hit Taylor again. “He would grab my hair and bang my head against the side of the car between the two doors, or against the glass of the passenger- side window while he was driving, because it made his point to me but didn’t leave a visible mark.”

When approached in 2009, Taylor didn’t dismiss the idea of starring in The Real Housewives. In fact, she thought it might help. “It seemed unlikely that I would get cast. But if I did, I figured that having my life on camera would encourage Russell to control his temper and help our relationship.” However, as viewers witnessed, it did not. After she returned from Lisa Vanderpump’s daughter Pandora’s bachelorette party in Las Vegas last June, Russell accused Taylor of having sex with a Chippendales dancer — and punched her in the eye. “The pain was excruciating. I could tell that something was very wrong with my vision. This whole time, Russell was glaring at me. “You’re so dramatic,” he said. “You’re fine.” [Tests] revealed that 40 percent of my orbital floor, the bone that supports the eye, had been fractured. “You need to have orbital reconstructive surgery,” my doctor said. “This is not a small thing.” My doctor went on to tell me I would need a titanium implant beneath my eye. There was a chance that, even after the surgery, my eye would be sunken for the rest of my life. Hearing that I was in danger of having a lifelong deformity from something that Russell had done to me was enough to finally snap me out of the spell Russell had over me.”

Also included are Hot Stuff items which include the scoop on Katy Perry’s reaction to finding out her estranged husband, Russell Brand, is already seeing other women and how Emily VanCamp and Josh Bowman found romance on the set of ABC’s Revenge.

KATY’S NEW PAIN: Russell’s Other Women

Perry reels as she learns about Brand’s plans for moving on.

Ouch! Katy Perry believes that estranged husband Russell Brand — who blindsided her by filing for divorce December 30 — is already seeing other women. “She discovered through her friends,” an insider tells Hot Stuff. “One of the women told a friend of hers, and it got back to Katy.” Adding insult to injury? The singer, 27,thinks the Rock of Ages actor, 36, has been trashing her to his conquests. “He’s spoken terribly about Katy to them,” the source says of Brand, who was seen flirting at L.A.’s Lexington Social House January 21. The recovering addict even wants to “explore a relationship” with one woman. “He told her he wanted her to move in with him after the divorce is final.” Well, it could be a long and nasty wait: The insider says Brand has been “attacking” Perry via emails and texts. “It’s gotten ugly. Katy’s concerned about him leaking stories for financial gain.” Consider Perry sufficiently rocked. Says the source, “Katy doubts she’ll be able to trust a guy again.”

A Revenge Romance!

A couple on screen — and off! A source tells Hot Stuff that ABC’s Revenge stars Emily VanCamp, 25, and Josh Bowman, 23, are an item. Though a second source notes “it’s not serious,” the two rang in 2012 with pals at posh Paris club Rasputin. This is the third time VanCamp has fallen for a colleague: She dated Dave Annable, 32, her beau on Brothers & Sisters, and Everwood’s Chris Pratt, 32. Yet don’t expect the actress (who recently split from The Vampire Diaries’ Joseph Morgan, 30) to go public with her new fling. Says the pal, “She’s very private.”
