Jamie Foxx at Reginald F. Lewis Foundation Luncheon



Grammy and Academy Award-winner Jamie Foxx will join the Reginald F. Lewis Foundation as it honors investment manager Eugene A. Profit, CEO of Profit Investment Management, at its fourth annual Gala Luncheon. The triple-threat entertainer will introduce the honoree at the event on Saturday, June 25 at the Lewis Estate in East Hampton. Celebrity spinner DJ M.O.S. will take to the tables at the benefit, which is hosted by CBS2 News Anchor Maurice DuBois and sponsored by J.P. Morgan, ONEX and BET Networks. "Reginald F. Lewis was the Jackie Robinson of the finance world, breaking into the highly selective world of high finance," said Lewis's widow Loida Nicolas Lewis, legendary chair of the occasion. Chairpersons Dorian and Gary Fuhrman host The Nature Conservancy's Beaches & Bays Gala honoring Katharine Rayner for her support of conservation projects.

Funds raised by the event will be used to support The Nature Conservancy's critical work on Long Island - protecting and managing our precious environment of wetlands, forests, bluffs, dunes, beaches and underwater bay habitat.

The American Heart Association's 15th Annual Heart of the Hamptons Ball will take place on the grounds of the Hayground School in Bridgehampton This year, the Heart Ball will honor Todd K. Rosengart, MD Professor and Chairman, Dept. of Surgery, Chief, Div. of Cardiothoracic Surgery, SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine and Ambassador Charles A. Gargano Former Chair and CEO, Empire State Development, V. Chair Port Authority NY and NJ. Star Jones will receive the "Humanitarian with Heart" award. Rosanna Scotto, co-host of Good Day New York on WNYW-FOX 5 will serve as Emcee for the event and Clinton Kelly, co-host of TLC's "What Not To Wear" will be this years' Auctioneer. This year's event Chair will be Robert McBride Park Strategies, LLC.

The Heart of the Hamptons Ball, is a fun and elegant event focused on raising funds for the mission of the American Heart Association. Friends and colleagues from NYC, Long Island and the Hamptons enjoy the beautiful setting of the Hamptons while eating delicious heart healthy foods, drinking delightful local wines and having fun with the music and dancing. The evening will feature live music, cocktail hour, buffet dinner, as well as a live and silent auction will also highlight the night.

East End Hospice's annual Summer Gala, Hospice's primary annual fundraising event, will be held on June 25, 2011 at “Sandacres", a private estate on Quantuck Bay in Quogue, NY. This year the Westhampton Garden Club, whose members work so hard to beautify our community will be honored with the organization’s Good Samaritan Award.
