Our favorite Singer and Comedienne, Marilyn Michaels ART and MEMORABILIA will be the subject of a one woman Gala fundraiser for the Jewish Museum of Monmouth County on May 7th at 7:PM. The multimedia event will take place in the historic landmark building and feature a vast array of celebrity paintings including such icons as Marilyn Monroe, Barbra Streisand, Woody Allen, and Elizabeth Taylor, as well as landscape paintings, costumes and personal letters. The premiere exhibition of the artwork and memorabilia of theatre, television and recording star of the legend herself. The exhibit includes oils, watercolors, pastels, and sketches of subjects, including portraits of famous celebrities, still-lifes, landscapes and abstracts.

Also on display will be memorabilia from her prestigious musical family heritage.
Largely self-taught as an artist, except for a period of time at the prestigious High School of Music and Art in New York City, where she majored in art, Miss Michaels is an accomplished painter who has shown in New York and Palm Beach’s finest galleries. Her work is in the collections of corporations and have been seen on such shows as “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous”, “The Tonight Show”, “Fox News”, and “Regis.”

The exhibit will open with a Gala reception at the Museum, where participants will be able to “kibbitz and schmooze” with the artist as well as listen as her son, professional pianist Mark Wilk, plays background music on
the Museum's beautiful new Brodmann Grand Piano. An admission of $36.00 per person will include admittance to the wine and cheese gala as well as a chance to win one of Marilyn’s works of art. Space is limited for this special event which promises to be a fun evening and a treat for the senses.
