We are pleased to announce that Grammy Award-Winning artist, Miri Ben-Ari, also known as the hip-hop violinist, has been invited by First Lady Michelle Obama to perform at the annual celebration of Women’s History Month on Wednesday, March 30th 2011. Mrs. Obama will bring together accomplished women from a wide variety of fields and backgrounds to serve as “Remarkable Women” mentors and share their life experiences with the students from the Washington, D.C. area.
Only 25 of America’s most distinguished women have been selected to join Mrs. Obama including Miri Ben-Ari, in her day long tour to a Washington, D.C. area high school to talk, share, inspire and encourage young women to go after their dreams. A dinner at the White House is to follow. The Lifetime Network, an organization that has been a long leader in celebrating women, will be there in support of the event.
Her passion and love of music and her violin, Ben-Ari not only created her own unique sound of classical style fused with Jazz, R&B and Hip-Hop, but she’s been recognized as a musical pioneer inspiring millions of women. She serves as the quintessential woman that is being celebrated at this “Remarkable Womens” event.

Miri Ben-Ari, a Grammy Award-Winning violinist originally from Israel, has created her own unique sound by a revolutionary fusion of classical style with jazz, R&B and hip hop. She has been recognized as a musical pioneer.
