Elizabeth Mascali With Robert Funaro And Dawn Sandomeno

Last night was the official roll out for ELIZABETH MASCALI and DAWN SANDOMENO’s new book on simple and special home entertaining called “PLAN TO PARTY” (Yorkshire Publishing) at Manhattan’s fashionable Henri Bendel on 57th and 5th. When we arrived to their third-floor aerie at 6:00PM, we found the authors already greeting a wide range of guests; including Robert Funaro from The Sopranos; actress/comedian Rachael Robbins; Keith Girard, editor from The Improper (www.theimproper.com); Aubrey Reuben from Playbill and the New York Post; Marcy MacDonald from AOL News; Dina Pitenis from Celebrity Bulletin; Alicia Yarbo from The Today Show; wine-guru Kirk Sprenger; Ed Bucciarelli, the Bendel CEO, stylist-makeup artist Deborah Altizio, and, Jodi Mellman, our new go-to-gal at the fantastic store … which by the way looked holiday-sensational. Two terrific food visionaries (Veniero’s) and (Gino’s, from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn) served the delectable food; everything from the succulent rice balls and mozzarella cheese creations to sumptuous pastry were served up as well. We met the lovely Maria Errico from Gino’s and Robert F. Zerilli from Veniero’s. The P2P authors have already appeared on the Martha Stewart Sirius/XM radio show Modern Living; Fox News; and, will next be appearing on Good Day New York in the next week with our fave Rosanna Scotto. The gorgeous book, with superb photos and text, illustrates perfectly the best way to plan-and-execute your own party. “One of the things we wanted to express here is how to make you feel like a guest at your own party; by reducing the stress involved with our revolutionary approach to entertaining,” says Mascali. The two authors also write the wildly successful blog, The Partybluprints website, which caught the attention of Yorkshire’s Todd Rutherford leading to the book. "The reaction has been overwhelming both on and off-line," says Sandomeno. "It's very gratifying to know we've struck a chord with our audience as it is our wish to inspire our readers to celebrate life” Our first Holiday event this season … and, it was radiant.
