ANTHONY KENNEDY SHRIVER'S BEST BUDDIES
Sara Herbert-Galloway With Anthony Kennedy ShriverAnne Hearst and Jay McInerney opened the doors to their estate for Anthony Kennedy Shriver's Best Buddies International Hampton's gala celebrating the new Southeastern Asia chapters of the charity. I've had the pleasure of attending this lovely event for 3 years at Anne and Jay's home and once at The Crystal Pavilion in Palm Beach when Tatiana Platt, who introduced me to Best Buddies was honored. Tatiana and her husband Campion have been a strong force behind Best Buddies on the East Coast. The Platt's were event co-chairs along with the McInerney's, Haley and Jason Binn, Johan de Nysschen, Alina and Anthony Shriver along with Lydia and Rudy Touzet. There were a lot of movers and shakers in the crowd: Marty Richards, Jean Shafiroff, Marlyne Sexton, Hunt and Jeff Slonem, Cornelia Bregman, Emma Snowdon-Jones, Richard Johnson, Debbie Bancroft, Joanna Goldenstein, Sonja Morgan and Allison Mazzola to name a few. Brett Banford a learning disabled 5th season contestant on 'So You Think You Can Dance' performed along with the 5th Season's winner Jenine Mason. Brett is proof that one can succeed with determination and perseverance. Countess LuAnn De Lesepps sang 'Money Can't Buy You Class'. The event was a sold out success.
