Super Model Carol Alt, champion ice hockey player Alexei Yelshin fresh off the plane from Russia, 3 time Super Bowl Champion Bart Oates, Tito Puente, Jr., Tony Plana and others braved the rain to Honor NY Ranger legend Adam Graves and DR. Roger Yurt for the National Meningitis Associations 2nd annual NY gala at the New York Athletic Club. Chairing this beautiful event, were myself; Sara Herbert-Galloway and Gary Springer who's son Nick is a meningitis survivor and an Olympic Gold Medal winner. Richard Thomas was the Master of Ceremonies. He was accompanied by his son Montana and his wife. Bonnie Comley and Stewart F. Lane chatted about their new play Enron. The event was held to raise awareness that there IS a shot that helps prevent this deadly disease that strikes our young, sometimes fatally and usually life altering. In attendance were, Honorees New York Rangers Hockey Legend Adam Graves, Dr. Roger Yurt, Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery Weill Medical College and members of the Center for Disease Control. Returning for the 2nd year was Ambassador John L. Loeb, Jr. our Honarary Chair, Heather Randall, actor Joe Sirolla, Barry Klarberg of Monarch Management, Lenore Cooney of Cooney/Waters Group, Rita Cosby, Errol Rappaport, Lucia Hwong Gordon, and many other familiar faces. Some new faces in attendance were 3 time Super Bowl Champion Bart Oates, , Hans Amell our corporate chair, Patrick Tremblay and colleagues from RSM McGladrey, Honarary Chair Liv Ullmann sent her regards as she had to be in Norway and Justin Timberlake helped to support our cause by donating a 901 Silver Tequila Bar.
