TILA TEQUILA FIRES BACK AT PR JESSICA COHEN

****
In next weeks issue of Steppin' Out, too tough to handle, Tila Tequila vents to Chaunce Hayden over her publicist's mass email to the media today that she was dropping Tila as a client. Tila describes her publicist as unable to handle a star and that she appeared unprofessional at times. YIKES!

The following is Tila's incredible response to Hayden on Jessica Cohen:

JESSICA COHEN'S LETTER TO THE MEDIA

To Members of the Media and Trusted Colleagues:

This is to inform you that I am no longer representing Tila Tequila as her publicist. Some matters need to remain private and away from media attention and due to recent events, I realized that we need to part ways while she deals with the loss of her fiancée. I will forward any remaining inquiries to her until the new publicist takes over.

Thank you for bearing with me during all of this.

Best,
Jessica

Chaunce Hayden: Can you tell me the real reason why your publicist sent out a mass email to the media that she no longer wants to represent you?

Tila Tequila: She usually handles smaller clients. She is not used to more high profile clients who have papparazzi's chasing them around town. She started to have a freak meltdown with all the media attention swirling around me. She didn't know what to do, and didn't know how to stay calm. I reassured her many times that everything will be ok. IT's just a storm and eventually the storm will pass, but she couldn't grasp hold of how much media attention I was getting and I guess she just flipped her lid and lost her cool. I think it worked out great though because now I don't have to fire her. I actually needed a more powerful publicist. Someone who is bold, brave, and already used to this type of media frenzy. Jessica does more of the boutique clients where they just attend a few small red carpets here and there. She is not used to having talent making headlines every week. So we bumped heads a lot. I kept trying to tell her "Look, I understand you're trying to do your job here, but I am the one who just lost my Wife!"

From there it just got ugly and we agreed to part ways. However, I think the way she did it made her look very unprofessional seeing how she had to send out an entire press release that she had quit. Not only does it make her unprofessional, but for her current talent and possible future talent that might want to work with her, they will probably hesitate because they will remember how she wronged me, and that will make her lose clients. If she screwed me over, and tried to humiliate me in the public eye, then she will do the same to everybody else. That is not a person whom I would call a professional Publicist and I am happy we parted ways. My new PR Firm handles this type of stuff WAY better than she does! They are Fierce, Bold, and Respected. To have them rep me, everything wouldn't be so out of control, as Jessica, couldn't handle it and she said it herself to me on the phone. I called her because there were like 50 papparazzi's at my house making a huge scene, so I called her and told her that and she just sounded really nervous and didn't know what to do or what to tell me to do. She kept talking over me and just didn't make any sense. All she did was give me anxiety attack. I told her that every time I talk to her on the phone, I would get heavy anxiety attacks. She was treated the passing of my Wife as some free PR press tour when I didn't want that. So we got to talking and agreed to part ways amicably. However, the next morning when I woke up I was stunned that she had the audacity to send out a press release saying that she quit. She's so damn paranoid that she probably thought I was going to run my mouth and tell everyone I fired her. She was trying to save her own reputation, but instead, ruined it. There have been many, many people that I have fired or have quit on me, however none of us have EVER did what Jessica did, which was release a press statement. That is so disrespectful and immature. So unprofessional. I wish her the best though after slamming me in the public like that. Good luck to your new clients, that is if they ever want to sign with her. She might do the same to them.
