Vegan's are delighted that Le Pain Quotidien is right across the street from the Bryant Park Tents for the upcoming Fashion Week activities. A hot-spot this coming week where by the way (btw) cameras are not permitted since we are told celebrities and fashionista's hang out during the Mercedes-Benz World's Premier Fashion Event. We sampled the Avocado salad since according to Richard Armstrong and the Book of Inside Information the avocado has an ancient reputation for inducing sexual prowess. The Aztecs use the avocado as a sex stimulant and believed so deeply in its sexual nutrients that virgin women were forbidden to leave their houses during avocado harvest days.Back in the USA now nutritionists are taking another look at the avocado. They're finding that most of the fat in an avocado is monounsaturated -- the "good" kind that actually lowers cholesterol levels. Thanks to this new understanding, the U.S. government revised its official nutrition guidelines to urge Americans to eat more avocados.
