ELTON JOHN PAYS RESPECTS TO FRIEND

Elton John

Rock legend Elton John has paid tribute to his keyboard player Guy Graham Babylon who died in a California hospital earlier this month. A former competitive swimmer, the Grammy Award-winner died of arrhythmia. He was only 52. In a tribute on his website, Elton wrote, "I am devastated and heartbroken at the death of Guy Babylon. He was one of the most brilliant musicians I ever knew, a true genius, a gentle angel - and I loved him so much." A Baltimore, Maryland native, Babylon performed with Elton's band for over 20 years. He shared a Grammy with Elton and Tim Rice for orchestrating Broadway musical Aida.
