Ted Kennedy

American icon Senator Edward Kennedy has died of brain cancer at the age of 77. The Democrat, the last of the late John F. Kennedy’s brothers, died yesterday following after a long battle with the disease. A statement from the Kennedy family reads, "Edward M. Kennedy, the husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle we loved so deeply, died late Tuesday night at home in Hyannis Port (Massachusetts). We’ve lost the irreplaceable centre of our family and joyous light in our lives, but the inspiration of his faith, optimism, and perseverance will live on in our hearts forever." Kennedy is survived by his second wife, Victoria, and his three children from his first marriage.
Editors Extra: Having met Ted several times, we are very saddened today at the loss of another great American !

That’s a terrible thing for American…and the world; we all lost a great man and also a long legacy of family patriots and supporters to the American people and politics. We will miss you. Condolences to the family.

The only Kennedy brother to surpass middle age. Now he is reunited with them all. The end of an era indeed. RIP.
