TONIGHT SHOW'S ED MCMAHON DIES AT 86
Johnny Carson's former sidekick Ed McMahon has died. The two Hollywood icons stared on the hit late night show from 1962 till Carson retired in 1992. McMahon's death came after years of financial problems, with a threatened foreclosure on his home, and a horrible fall that resulted in a broken neck. Publicist Howard Bragman said McMahon died early Tuesday at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center surrounded by his family. Bragman didn't give a cause of death, saying only that McMahon had a "multitude of health problems the last few months."NBC News announced This morning that Ed McMahon, 86, had died after a battle with cancer. He had been hospitalized for pneumonia in January.
