MILEY CYRUS SORRY FOR ASIAN PICTURES

Pop singer Miley Cyrus is speaking about the controversial photos in which she appears to make fun of Asians. Miley came under fire earlier this week after pictures of her and a group of friends slanting and squinting their eyes surfaced on the Internet. One friend, an Asian American, is not making the gestures in the photos. The images have enraged the Asian American community, prompting Cyrus to apologize in a message posted on her official fan site. However, she is adamant the snaps have been taken out of context, and she is blaming the press for criticizing her every move. She writes, "I've also been told there are some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces! Well, I'm sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong (sic) and out of context! "In NO way was I making fun of any ethnicity! I was simply making a goofy face. When did that become newsworthy? It seems someone is trying to make something out of nothing to me. If that would of (sic) been anyone else, it would of been overlooked! I definitely feel like the press is trying to make me out as the new 'Bad Girl!"
