DOCTORS ORDER JEREMY PIVEN TO QUIT

A mystery illness has prompted doctors to order Broadway star Jeremy Piven to "immediately" quit his role in the play "Speed-The-Plow." The actor made his Broadway debut in the David Mamet play on October 23rd and was scheduled to perform throughout the show's run, until its closes on February 22nd. Piven missed his performance yesterday evening and has pulled out of two shows today. A spokesperson for Piven tells TMZ. "Jeremy has not been feeling well and the doctors have advised him that he should end his run in 'STP' immediately."Piven has blamed a "high mercury count" for the mystery illness. Norbert Leo Butz and William H. Macy reportedly will replace him, according to the Associated Press.
