JESSICA SIMPSON WROTE TO GET OVER PAIN

Pop singing Jessica Simpson had to write to cure her of the heartbreak following her breakup from hubby Nick Lachey, because writing in her diary was "therapeutic" for the star. The talented songstress, who divorced Lachey in 2002 after three years of marriage, found it helpful to keep a journal of her thoughts and feelings. And Simpson later used the emotional entries as inspiration for her new music. She says, "It (writing in a diary) is very, very therapeutic. There is a lot about heartbreak, there is a lot about perseverance. I used it as inspiration for my album. I used certain journal excerpts from certain journal entries. It has been an awesome experience for me." Simpson went on to date John Mayer before hooking up with current beau, American footballer Tony Romo.
