On Wednesday, October 15, GlobalGrind.com, the premiere all news site for the Hip-Hop community, celebrated its one-year anniversary and "Countdown to Change" initiative at the politically chic, celebrity attended, soirée last night at NYC hot spot Taj. The night, hosted by iconic Hip-Hop entrepreneur, Russell Simmons, and Global Grind CEO Navarrow Wright, and sponsored by Smart Water, brought out a mixed bag of politicos, celebrities and hip-hop aficionados to toast Global Grind's success, bringing together a who's who of the Hip-Hop community to watch final presidential debate on multiple big screens. Celebrities Ludacris, Aubrey O'Day and Dawn from Danity Kane, New York Knicks star Stephon Marbury, comedian Cedric The Entertainer, America's Next Top Model winner Jaslene Gonzales, BET's Rocsi and Terrence J, Making the Band's Day 26, actress Malinda Williams, Recording artist Miri Ben-Ari, Warner Music Exec Kevin Liles, Political Activist and Hip-Hop historian Kevin Powell, Naughty By Nature and more, came out to support the event with DJ Nice spinning tunes and keeping the crowd grooving late into the night.
