MARGO MANHATTAN ROBBED OF 60 GRAND IN BLING

Margo Manhattan, a Upper East Side jewelry store, where the celebrities like Beyonce and Selena Gomez flock, was robbed on Friday by a man who tied up the manager and stole $60,000 in bling,

The thief posed as a customer at the star studded store on Madison Ave, off East 88th street. The star studded boutique’s manager, Marcy Imbert, was the only employee in the shop when she buzzed the man in about 1:30 p.m on Friday.

Margo Manhattan told the NY Daily News that the employee "thought he was maybe a rap star,”.

The thief asked to see several items and then grabbed Imbert by the neck once she opened a display case. Brandishing a stun gun, he put his hands over her mouth and dragged her into a back room.

As Imbert struggled, the man tore the straps off a Theory designer bag he found in the shop and used them to tie her wrists behind her back.

“She came to a point where she saw her life in front of her,” said Margo. “He was really forceful. He choked her. He said, ‘I’m going to kill you.’”

The crook even kicked Mika, Manhattan’s 13-week-old German shepherd puppy, who was also at the store.

He to grabbed jewelry from cases Imbert had opened and from an open vault in the back room, according to cops and the store owner. Surprised when another employee arrived at the store, he again acted like a customer and told the employee, “She’s in the back.”

Neither the employees nor the dog was injured.
