Empowerment and Business Expert, Entrepreneur & Author Jen Groover will launch the Empowered Economy Initiative, her answer to Occupy Wall Street, with the Build Your Business Boot Camp at Rowan University on Tuesday, September 17, 2013.

Groover’s Empowered Economy Initiative is a movement based on the premise that if corporations and universities combine their efforts to educate and support small business owners and entrepreneurs in their communities, the resulting success can stimulate the economy. The Empowered Economy Initiative will kick off with the Build Your Business Boot Camp, a free educational event for business owners and entrepreneurs.

Having been tagged by SUCCESS magazine as a “One-Woman Brand” and a “Creativity and Innovation Guru,” as well a leading “Serial Entrepreneur” by Entrepreneur magazine, Groover will draw from her breadth of personal experience to teach business owners and entrepreneurs how to leverage time and influence, effectively use available tools and embrace creative strategies in order to take their businesses to the next level. Build Your Business Boot Camp attendees will learn how to perfect their pitch to hook new customers, build their business mission statement, create a website that converts prospects into customers, leverage networking to increase their net worth, increase visibility by becoming an expert in their community and use video to create viral marketing campaigns. Groover will also explore strategies for increasing social media presence, seamlessly incorporating product placement and brand integration, working with media to build credibility and understanding how influencers influence business.

The Build Your Business Boot Camp, presented by Rowan University’s Rohrer College of Business and SNJ Business People and sponsored by TD Bank, Friedman LLP, Lauletta Birnbaum LLC, Pro Computer Service, Line Systems, Surety Title Corporation and JerseyMan Magazine, is the first in a series of events sparked by Groover’s Empowered Economy Initiative. Groover is currently in the process of formalizing plans for future events with a number of organizations, with the goal of hosting a minimum of 25 Empowered Economy events throughout the United States in 2014.
