Image
Famed acting legend Bruce Willis is facing legal action from movie bosses who have accused the Hollywood star of walking out on a film project. Willis is being sued by executives at a film company who claim he signed a $200,000 picture deal to direct the new movie Three Stories About Joan, starring stars Owen Wilson and Camilla Belle, but quit during filming. Executives at production firm Foresight Unlimited filed papers at Los Angeles California Superior Court on Friday accusing Willis and his company, Willis Brother Films, of breach of contract. The papers state: "Willis abruptly and without notice terminated his services as director for personal reasons and walked off the set." The plaintiffs, which include Foresight Unlimited, Signature Entertainment Group, and Three Stories Productions, are seeking $4 million in damages. Photo By: RD/Leon/Retna

ASHTON KUTCHER ON LATE PAUL HARVEY

Image
Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher has written a touching tribute to Paul Harvey, crediting the late radio broadcaster with teaching him the art of storytelling. Harvey, whose programm aired in the United States for more than 60 years, died yesterday at 90. Kutcher, who grew up listening to Harvey’s on-air commentaries, insists the broadcasts helped shape his approach to acting. He writes on his official MySpace blog: "Today I celebrate the life and mourn the loss of one of our greatest storytellers. Paul Harvey enriched my life through his gifted voice and ability to deliver a tale with the most unsuspecting ending I’d ever heard. "He made the countless hours of driving back and forth (to) my grandparents’ house on Sunday morning bearable. I would sit in the back seat of the car, choking on my parents’ cigarette smoke, hanging on to his every last word…"It was like he was watching your reaction and knew that he had you hooked. I always felt like he was the smartest, witties...

JERRY SPRINGER AND STEVE WILKOS MOVE

Image
Jerry Springer With James Edstrom And Steve Wilkos I have very mixed feelings from a e-mail I received yesterday from friends at The Jerry Springer Show and The Hit Steve Wilkos Show. I am being told that it's almost a done deal. I am being told that both shows will be moving to Stamford Connecticut. My sources said NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution, the company's syndicated television arm, plans to relocate "The Jerry Springer Show" and "The Steve Wilkos Show" from Chicago to a new facility in Connecticut this summer in time for the start of the 2009 television season. Maury Povich's syndicated NBC Universal program "Maury" also would move there from New York City. Springer's show has originated from NBC Universal's NBC Tower in Chicago since 1992, after making its debut a year earlier in Cincinnati Ohio. Connecticut is luring the shows by offering a 30 percent production tax credit, as well as a 20 percent tax credit on i...
