Erin Cummings

ON TMZ:

I was getting my hair done in LA and while I was in the bathroom my hairdresser showed the TMZ cameramen a magazine cover I had done. And when I came outside I had all these TMZ guys following me around and later that night all my friends called to tell me they saw it and how cool it was. But I told them, “It's not cool.” I see all these other people on TMZ and they kind of gross me out. I don't want to be associated with that. There are a lot of people who just want to be famous. But for me, I just want to work. I don't want to be famous for being seen on TMZ.

ON BITCHING SLAPPING:

People keep asking me to slap them. I'll say, “You really want me to slap you?” And they'll say, “Yeah!” I'll tell them, “You don't understand. Have you seen my fight seen? I'm unusually strong for my size. I will hurt you.” I started to hurt a lot of the press, so now I just do it in slow motion so they get the idea. I don't want too f**king hurt somebody. Although, some of the questions I've been asked by the foreign press has really made me want to bitch slap them.

ON THE PRESS MAKING FUN OF HER LAST NAME:

It's one thing to ask me what my character thinks about something, but when you ask me about what Erin Cummings thinks and it crosses deep past the line of sexuality, I'll get pissed. This is the digital age, and the things we say will be on the Internet forever. Plus, there are some pretty dangerous people out there. I'm not opposed to getting a little cheeky during an interview and discussing sexuality to a certain degree. But I'm also not going to answer questions that you would be asking an adult film actress.

ON NUDITY:

I don't have a problem with nudity. In fact, I have a film coming out called “Spartacus” where I appear nude. But being nude always depends on the character and the script. If it's for some cheesy movie and I have to show my titties and be gone in the first ten minutes, absolutely f**king not. But for “Spartacus” where I play the leading lady and the love interest and motivation of a character who is just as naked as I am, I'll do it. With “Bitch Slap” it's a great role, but they wanted us to be superheros. They felt we were sexy enough. They felt if we were naked in the film it would take away some of our power. Which it would. There is a set of bare breasts in the film, but they don't belong to the three of us.

ON GOING FOR IT DURING THE
"BITCH SLAP" LESBIAN SCENES:

There's no nudity in my “Bitch Slap” lesbian scene, but it's very intense. We just made a commitment to go for it. If you're going to do a love scene you don't want to half ass it. You want it to be convincing. I just looked at Julia Voth and thought, “Wow! What an unbelievably gorgeous human being! I would really like to make out with that person right now.” And you just go for it. Julia is an exceptional kisser and I don't think there's anything wrong with going “Hey, wow, this is really a beautiful person who happens to be a really good kisser on top of that. So let's just really go for this and make it believable.”

ON KISSING WITH TONGUES:

(Laughs) I kind of pity anybody who gets caught up in a sex scene with me, because I just tell them, I like to use tongue. So you just have to deal with it.
