Hollywood star Teri Hatcher put a spin on the garage sale. The actress raised $20,000 by auctioning off a range of top prizes at her home. The good hearted star held the sale in the garden of her home in Studio City, California to raise cash for children’s charities in Los Angeles. Hatcher charged potential buyers a $50 door fee, before they could look at the sale items, which included a pair of boots signed by co-star Eva Longoria Parker, purses and trips to Disney World. The actress also put unworn clothes and unused toys up for the sale. She tells People.com, "It has been a very successful, fun day. You get motivated by the giving. I can’t wait for the next one!"
