MACKENZIE PHILLIPS ORDERED INTO REHAB

Former television star Mackenzie Phillips has been ordered into a drug diversion program by a Los Angeles California judge after pleading guilty to a felony drug charge stemming from her August arrest. Phillips was detained by police at Los Angeles LAX airport after security found her in possession of heroin and cocaine during a routine screening there on August 27th. The actress' guilty plea will reportedly be dismissed after she completes the court-ordered program, erasing the incident from her record. Phillips entered rehab in September, following the charges. Addressing the court at Friday's hearing, she said: "I want to thank the Los Angeles Police Department and the Airport Police for stopping me, they saved my life."Additional charges against Phillips, reportedly including another felony count of possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count of unauthorized possession of a needle or syringe, have been dismissed.
