Paris Hilton And Benji Madden Last Night Benji Madden and girlfriend Paris Hilton are facing legal action from a photographer in Los Angeles California, after reportedly running over his foot with their car.The socialite left the city’s exclusive Foxtail nightspot with her rocker beau last night by car, with Madden at the wheel.The vehicle was surrounded by paparazzi fighting for pictures of the couple, but as shown in footage posted on TMZ.com, one snapper is heard screaming with pain as the car passed over his foot.Madden is seen climbing out of the vehicle and walking over to the paparazzo, but subsequently got back into the car and drove off. Mariah Carey In Times Square Mariah Carey will turn on the lights of New York City’s Empire State Building lavender, pink and white this weekend, to promote the release of her new album.The singer will flick a switch on a scale model of the iconic tower at a ceremony today and when the sun goes down in the city, the building will glow her favorite colors.The city is honoring our native New Yorker, whose new LP E=MC2 this week has topped the Billboard chart with first week sales of 463,000.Earlier on today,she performed a live free gig for fans in the city’s Times Square, which was broadcast on Good Morning America.

The former Oprah employee accused of abusing children at her all-girls academy in South Africa has had her trial postponed until next July. Former dorm matron Tiny Virginia Mokgobo was arrested last October on 14 charges including assault, indecent assault and soliciting underage girls to perform indecent acts. She is accused of committing the crimes at Winfrey’s Henley-on-Klip Leadership Academy over a period of four months in 2007. Mokgobo appeared in Sebokeng magistrates court, south of Johannesburg today when Magistrate Thelma Simpson set a new trial date of July 29th. The decision follows Monday’s court hearings, when Simpson granted a motion by Mokgobo’s lawyer to delay the trial until a further date to allow him more time to consult with his client. The trial was originally due to begin this week.Mokgobo, who has previously expressed her innocence in the charges, is expected to formally enter her plea when she next appears in court in July. Just released from jail rapper Foxy Brown has escaped going back after accepting a plea deal in an ongoing assault case.The star was released from New York City's Riker’s Island Prison last week after serving eight months of a 12-month sentence for probation violations. But Foxy faced heading back behind bars as part of another case, in which she was charged with misdemeanour battery in relation to an incident in March 2007. Brown was accused of attacking a beauty supply store employee in Miami, Florida after being told to leave the shop at closing time.But the star escaped a possible two-year jail sentence by accepting a plea deal.Instead, she will serve six months probation, complete 15 hours of community service and write apology letters to the store owner and the employee.

Singing star Pete Wentz is crediting Ashlee Simpson and his regular therapy sessions with helping him overcome depression. The Fall Out Boy admitted that he was once so depressed he tried to kill himself.
