Retreat serves as an escape for New Yorker’s who have evolved past the typical New York Night scene. It is truly a labor of love for owners Larry Kramer, Craig Koenig and designer Rad Roubeni. From its décor to the drinks, Retreat offers a complete getaway from the stark and typical nightspot experience.With unique and intricately shaped California Red Oak driftwood tables, Retreat’s seating was specially designed and formulated with faux leather accents create a distinctive vintage feel. An artist created the backdrop behind the private tables making use of black metallic paint with an iridescent pearl finish to create the unique decorative accent of the space. Perched above the dance floor is the state-of-the-art DJ booth, which acts as a “tree-house” expanding further on the lodge and forest theme.The 2,500 square foot space is the perfect destination for those seeking sanctuary from the chaos of warehouse nightspots. Retreat has been the host of Kim Kardashian’s Playboy Party and is currently a favorite hangout for stars such as Eli Manning, Richard Jefferson, Thomas Jones and actor Cuba Gooding Jr. The venue’s dimensions are ideal for after-work parties, corporate events, private gatherings or dancing into the wee morning hours.
