Katy Perry

E-NEWS -- Katy Perryand Orlando Bloom's break up is still chained to the read receipts.

Now a week after the couple announced their split, E! News has an exclusive update about where they stand as seemingly amicable exes.

A source tells us the Pirates of the Caribbean star is "cool" with the pop star, adding that they "still text and talk." These aren't just any 'ol friendly check-in texts—our insider reveals Katy and Orlando have also spent time with each other since ending their 10-month long relationship.

As for whether or not the lovebirds will ever reconcile romantically, the idea isn't completely far-fetched. The source shares, "He is just not ready for a serious relationship, but getting back together with Perry is not out of the question."

"He cares deeply for Perry and they have a very carefree dynamic with each other," the insider adds. "They are both free spirits."

One indication Katy and Orlando have nothing but love for each other? While the "Chained to the Rhythm" songstress was busy performing at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday, it's possible Bloom (who shares a 6-year-old son with ex Miranda Kerr) was watching after her beloved pooches.

The British actor shared a video to Instagram of Katy's dogs, though it's unclear if the playdate actually happened post-breakup.

Regardless, Perry herself has spoken out about pressing pause on the relationship, putting feud rumors to rest once and for all.

"How bout a new way of thinking for 2017," she tweeted. "U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one's a victim or a villain, get a life y'all!"

Katy Perry

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom attended a pre-Grammys 2016 party together in Los Angeles Saturday night, marking the pair's second outing this weekend as they continue to fuel romance rumors.

Perry, Missy Elliott, Sia, and Greg Kurstin had teamed up with Spotify to co-host the bash, titled The Creators Party.

"They seemed to get along great," a source told E! News exclusively about Perry, 31, and Bloom, 39. "They were not all over each other but shared sweet gestures here and there. Orlando gave Katy her space to mingle and speak to her fiends and people she invited to her event. Katy did include Orlando in conversation at times during the evening."

"It was obvious that they are really, really into each other," the source said.

Bloom and Perry have not commented.

A day earlier, the two attended Adele's concert in the city, while Perry's on-again, off-again beau John Mayer, 38, was spotted outside the venue with a mystery girl.

Perry and Bloom have been hanging out in recent months and she has even methis and ex Miranda Kerr's son, Flynn. The pop star and Mayer were last seen together just before New Year's. The celebs have not commented on their love lives.

At The Creators Party, Perry walked the red carpet while Bloom opted to stay out of the spotlight. The two were photographed just outside the venue, the Cicada restaurant and nightclub.

The singer channeled Kim Kardashian, sporting two braids, a style the 35-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has adopted in recent months as she lets her hair grow. She recently debuted a new blonde look.

Perry also channeled Xena: Warrior Princess with a strapless, semi-sheer, black, gold jeweled Dolce & Gabbanacorset that resembles a breastplate, paired with high-waisted black Dolce & Gabbana pants, Christian Louboutin black mesh pointed pumps, a black Nina Ricci chiffon neck tie with a cross and a Dolce & Gabbana black clutch with gold embellishments.

The Creators Party honored artists, producers and songwriters. Sia was one of the performers, while other attendees included Fergie,Rita Ora and Miguel.

Katy Perry

THRILLER OR FILLER --- Katy Perry wowed the crowd at last night’s Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale, Arizona. Face it, it’s a most coveted spot (110 million viewers – packed stadium), but, it’s a tight time-frame … allowing only for a few verses of the hits, but she didn't disappoint. It’s a calculated and complicated show to pull off and she did it rather perfectly (even Madonna slipped a tad during her show years back. There were also some jazzy stage effects too, which worked perfectly in tandem with her performance.

Guest Lenny Kravitz joined in on “I Kissed A Girl.” Brief … too brief in fact. I was hoping they’d join together on a version of “American Woman.”

Missy Elliott showed up briefly too; not a fan, in fact I got the distinct feeling neither was the crowd.

Personally, I’m a Perry-fan, always have been and I pulled for her to win last night and she did; perfectly ending with “Firework,” literally flying across the stadium. Kudos!

FINAL LETTERMAN --- We hear that May 20 is the tentative final day for CBS’ David Letterman Late Show. We attended last Wednesday’s show, under the auspices of our friend (Late Show-announcer) Alan Kalter, and loved it as much as ever. The Late Show is a finely-run, tightly tuned production; from Paul Shafer’s marvelous stewardship of the band, to Kalter himself, who more-than-ably warms up the crowd and keeps them primed for the entire hour.

The brilliant Rachel Maddow was Dave’s first guest and yet again proved what a prescient and funny presence she is. Truth be told, she tells it likes it is and along with Anderson Cooper, is probably one of the best new-school broadcasters around.

The musical guest was the amazing Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives. Faithful readers may well recall us writing about his performance late last year at The Met in NYC, with the legendary Steve Miller and Lawrence Juber. I had never seen him in person before last year just fell in love with him. Country music from one it’s masters don’t get any better.

Just a brilliant night; basking in Dave’s victory lap. Great night!

JONNY LEE SIZZLES --- We’ve often noted just how great CBS’ Elementary has been, with the great Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu, but last Thursday’s episode (The One That Got Away), the conclusion of a two-part arc, contained some of Miller’s best work … ever.

It was a flashback sequence wherein Miller, reeling from a string of setbacks, was about to indulge again in some bad behavior, when in an instant everything turned around. The anguish on his face communicated everything … just mesmerizing.

If you haven’t yet gotten into this show, you’re missing something very special. Brilliant, brilliant work!

CLOSING NOTES --- New albums on the horizon from Ringo Starr (Postcards From Paradise) and Brian Wilson (No Pier Pressure) …

The new Disney-movie Tomorrowland with George Clooney as written by Entertainment Weekly’s Jeff Jensen. Due out in March …

Finally caught Inherent Vice this weekend with Joaquin Phoenix. Plodding, somewhat hard to follow, but Phoenix’s performance is riveting. Based on the novel by Thomas Pynchon, I'd recommend it, but pay attention …

Micky Dolenz and wife Donna Quinter at last week's Better Call Saul premier in L. A. with Bryan Cranston...

And, finally, Bruce Jenner. He’s been an icon for so long, I think he's earned the opportunity to choose his path. This media out roar about his personal life I find very, very disgraceful.

KEATON’S BIRDMAN --- We caught Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Birdman last weekend, but wanted to thoroughly brainstorm what we saw before putting pen to paper. We loved it and can best describe it as an existential treastie on one’s own work; initially very successful, but, now needing a good kick in the butt.

Michael Keaton plays Riggan Thomson, who enjoyed years of success, essaying a comic-book character Birdman; he did three (like he did in Batman) and passed on a fourth installment.

Now, trying a stage adaption of a Raymond Carver play (!), he’s going through the motions with the play; a daughter he never really got to know; an ex-wife that he still has feelings for; and, a girlfriend in the play, who may or may not be pregnant. Conflicting thoughts indeed.

I’ve always loved Keaton’s work, from Night Shift to Batman to great interviews on the Letterman show … and, this is definitely a career highlight for him.

Inarritu’s script is splendid and the camera work consisting of mostly long, uninterrupted sequences is positively mesmerizing. Also, the way he cuts from one-shot to another, often in a two different times, is amazing; one character will talk about appearing on stage later that night and miraculously, he appears onstage continuing his dialogue.

The movie struggle with one’s own thoughts, memories and hopes for the future and is totally captivating. The narrative isn’t new, but the execution is spot-on brilliant.

Not for everyone, but if you loved Lost In Translation, as did I, this is definitely for you. A gem of this quickly ending year.

Adios Constantine? – And just as we were just writing about it: we've learned the freshman season of NBC drama Constantine will consist of just 13 episodes. The cast and crew of the series were informed on Friday night that the series will halt production.

Constantine will remain in its current 10:00 PM ET Friday time slot for the remainder of its run.

While the network recently made a similar decision on freshmen comedy series Bad Judge and A to Z, I hear the circumstances are different. While Bad Judge and A to Z had been de facto canceled, Constantine remains in strong contention for a second-season renewal.

The show, based on the DC-comic revolves around demon hunter and master of the occult John Constantine. Constantine figured there was no longer any point in fighting the good fight since his soul belongs to the netherworld, but when demons target the daughter of one of his closest friends, Liv, he reluctantly rejoins the battle.

It turns out that Liv has second sight, an ability to see other worlds and predict supernatural occurrences, a power that makes her a threat to the new evil rising from the shadows. She and Constantine take their combined skills on the road, traveling the country to find demons and send them back to hell.

The network had to make a decision whether to keep Constantine in continuous production with little ratings information. While the series began production on a standard fall premiere production schedule, its launch was delayed until late- October when NBC’s Friday genre block usually debuts, so the network had to make a quick call whether to order additional episodes after only four episodes had aired vs. at least seven.

Constantine had not been a breakout hit the way fellow NBC Friday genre drama Grimm was in its debut. But NBC brass were probably encouraged by the freshman’s +38% week-to-week ratings jump for Episode 5 this past Friday, the show’s highest mark since the series debut, and by its best retention of the Grimm lead-in, also since the series debut.

Additionally, Constantine had a strong fan base because of its comic origins and has seen big DVR lifts, most recently rising +81% for Episode 4, regarded by fans as a possible creative turning point in the series.

NBC has been supportive of the show, running a marathon of episodes on cable sibling Syfy this weekend and slating Constantine cast members to appear on the network’s broadcast of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade next week.

It is not clear what NBC will air in the Friday 10 PM time period after Constantine’s run is over, though previous slot occupant Hannibal, which has been renewed for a third season, is considered a strong possibility.

Constantine was one of three DC-themed new dramas this fall. The other two,Gotham on Fox and The Flash on the CW, both earning full-season orders.

CLOSING NOTES --- Katy Perry will headline the Super Bowl halftime show in February. Excellent choice …

Looking forward to seeing my friend, horn-man David Sanborn tomorrow night at the Blue Note in NYC …

Paul Simon’s song “America” being used in the new Amex-Small Business Saturday commercials just re-affirms what a great, great track it always has been. Great to hear every time …

Don't know what to make of last night's American Music Awards other than it's good to be young. I think Garth Brooks (and producer Larry Klein) were the oldest-performers there. And, One Direction, named band of the year? I don't think so ...

Katie Holmes

Jamie Foxx
Katie’s secret fling! The new Us Weekly has all the details about Katie Holmes’ fleeting fling with friend Jamie Foxx . When Katie Holmes arrived alone at the August 24th benefit in New York’s Hamptons, she searched the crowd for a familiar face. An there he was: Jamie Foxx, a pal and former costar of her ex Tom Cruise. “They hooked up,” says a source. “It was two adults having fun, getting a little tipsy, and one thing led to another.” Though the two were discreet, when the news leaked, “Tom was not happy,” says an insider. “He doesn’t care if it was a hookup. To him it was betrayal.” Cruise’s potential fury could be why both Foxx and Holmes are so adamantly refuting the fling. And with so much history to the triangle, Foxx chose to do damage control. “This is a delicate situation for Jamie,” says a source close to Foxx, who has been tight with Cruise since 1996. When Holmes and Cruise got serious in 2005, Foxx spent time with the pair. “Katie enjoyed his company because he is lighthearted and fun,” and insider says. “Tom was really intense.”

Also in the new issue of Us, the ‘25 Things You Don’t Know About Me’ feature is all about pop star Katy Perry. Interesting facts are below.

· “I have a ticket to outer space!”

· “I practice Transcendental Meditation.”

· “I’m so OCD that I wish the letters OCD were in alphabetical order: CDO”

· “I believe in aliens.”

· “I brush my teeth anywhere from four to six times a day.”

· “I pierced my own nose with a safety pin when I was 13.”

Minka Kelly, Chris Evans Split: What Went Wrong

Minka Kelly

Chris Evans
Maybe the third time's the charm? After breaking up back in 2007 and reuniting in 2012, Minka Kelly and boyfriend Chris Evans have split for a second time, sources reveal in the new issue of Us Weekly. "It didn't make sense for them to be together right now," one insider tells Us of the couple, citing distance as a factor. (Kelly, 33, is shooting the TV series Almost Human in Vancouver, British Columbia, while Evans, 32, plans to direct the movie 1:30 Train in New York City.) Us Weekly first exclusively revealed that the two were dating back in September 2012. It was their second attempt at romance together; they previously dated (and broke up) in 2007, prior to the Roommate actress' three-year relationship with New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter. Alas, history seems to be repeating itself in the form of another breakup. But this is not a bitter split. The first source says the duo parted on friendly terms and "still care about each other." Reps for both had no comment.

Embrace the Dark Side as Celebrity Eyebrow Stylist Joey Healy Weighs in on the Hottest Brow Trends for Fall 2013

Put down the tweezers ladies, it’s time to embrace the dark side this fall as bold brows have made a comeback! Unlike the thick natural brows of the ‘80s, the bold brows for this season are groomed with concise arches and a less overall bushy-ness. Whether you are sporting hair that is midnight black or sandy taupe blonde, dark brows are the best accessory for the season as they step up the game in framing your face and flatter your unique bone structure. Bold brows also bring out the whites of your eyes to make them appear even whiter and enhance your eye color for a more intense look.

To achieve the perfect bold brow for fall, it is important to recognize which shade will work best for you based on your hair’s warm, cool or neutral undertones prior to selecting your shading product of choice. Choose a pencil (like Joey Healy Brow Architect Stylo, $25) if you need to sharpen up an arch, extend out a tail or cover an obvious gap/scar. Go with a powder (like Joey Healy Luxe Brow Powder, $28) to give more uniform density to an already well-shaped brow that feels sparse. Pencils can be considered more corrective while powders "turn up the volume" on your shape. With that said, women sometimes have a strong preference toward one or the other based on what they personally find easiest to use. In my opinion, working with a powder is easier for a novice because, with a light hand, you can gradually build up the color. Besides at-home products, eyebrow tinting (offered at The Joey Healy Eyebrow Studio, New York City) is also a semi-permanent shading option that will enhance brows tones for a darker look. No matter which shading option you choose, be sure not to overwork the brow with color for a more natural yet polished look.

Be sure to finish off your bold brow with a non-crunchy brow gel (like Joey Healy Brow Structure Clear Set, $25) to ensure the perfect brow all day and night.

Fall Favorite Arches

Cara Delevigne

Cara has the perfect example of a bold brow that is similar to the look of Brooke Shield’s signature look from the ‘80s. With her lush but well-groomed arches, Cara Delevigne has made a break through with dark brows that complement her blonde hair and enhance her icy blue eyes.

Get the Look

For blonde haired beauties looking for a brow that resembles Cara’s, I would recommend a darker brow powder (like Joey Healy Luxe Brow Powder in Corduroy or Tobacco, $28, to enhance the neutral undertones. If your brows are not quite as naturally lush as Cara’s, I would recommend using a brow serum (like Joey Healy Collection Brow Renovation Serum to achieve maximum fullness within 4-6 weeks.

Kendall Jenner

Keeping up with her cool undertones, Kendall Jenner has a chic brow that completely flatters her facial structure for a natural yet stunning look. Taking into consideration her young age, Kendall’s bold brow is far from overworked and is properly impactful for her overall beauty look.

Get the Look!

To get flawless arches like Kendall’s use a deep brunette toned brow pencil (like Joey Healy Collection Architect Stylo in Molasses, $25) along with a brow gel (like Joey Healy Collection Brow Structure Clear Set, $25) for perfectly finished look.

Katy Perry

Over time we have seen Katy’s brows evolve from a pinup brow to a more natural feminine version. While there is still nothing understated about Katy Perry, her roaring bold brows now seem to flatter her facial features in a more grown up way. With her signature defined arch and deep color, Katy’s brows do not appear too filled in but are right on the mark.

Get the Look!

To copy Katy Perry’s look, I recommend using a waterproof brow powder (like Joey Healy Collection Luxe Brow Powder in Tobacco, $28) to really highlight and enhance the existing shape. When applying brow powder, I recommend a dual-ended brow brush (like Joey Healy Duo Brow Brush, $28) for consistent distribution.

Carlos Santana

A LOVE SUPREME – A few columns back we told you about a new Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin DVD, Live At Montreux/2011. We've watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Santana, and his band, are just exceptional; with a power and energy that was a most welcome surprise (they definitely came ready to play). McLaughlin, who I've enjoyed for years, is just terrific. Ironically, the performance that I enjoyed the most was John Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme.” So joyous.

Their 1973 album, Love, Devotion, Surrender, was an amazing work that endures today. The DVD even features a harmonica performance from one Claude Nobs, who has devoutly organized these Monteux festivals for years. He rocks out for sure. The group also performs "Stairway To Heaven" ... and, it is magnificent. A very, very superior work – loved it!

GLEN CAMPBELL --- From the Wrecking Crew to “Rhinestone Cowboy”; twenty-one Top 40 hits with two hitting No. 1; six Top 20 albums including chart-topper Wichita Lineman; twenty-seven country Top 10 singles -- spanning 22 years - and nine country No. 1 albums. Five Grammy Awards, three Grammy Hall of Fame honors and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award; seven Academy of Country Music awards and a 1998 Pioneer Award recognition; and, three American Music Awards.

And, not to mention hosting of one of the era’s most-beloved variety shows, Glen Campbell’s musical and entertainment lifetime, covering over five decades is totally unmatched for its breadth, popular appeal – and flat-out musical accomplishment and achievement. Last year, after his diagnosis of Alzheimer’s he released perhaps the best album of his career, Ghost On The Canvas. This week, he releases his final album, See You There – produced by Dave Darling and Dave Kaplan - which consists of the artist re-interpreting several of his classic songs. The re-imagining strips down the original versions - making this album as much a Campbell Unplugged, as anything. As a die-hard fan of the original versions, I was somewhat take aback by the new versions; but, as I listened more and more, the songs took on an even greater power. His voice remains as strong as ever; yet, you know the back story, which gives the music and even greater edge.

I grew up watching him on his TV show, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, and perhaps even more than the terrific songs, he became an icon for my generation (he even appeared in the movie True Grit, at the behest of John Wayne, no less). I especially liked the renewed energy of “Wichita Lineman” and “Gentle On My Mind.” There’s a version of the song, “There’s No Me, Without You,” which first appeared on the Ghost album; again, stripped almost bare, but as moving as ever. Two of my favorite Glen songs, “Where’s, The Playground Susie” and “Dreams Of The Everyday Housewife,” are not here; but, I wondered how they would have sounded in this new bare-bones style.

Several comparisons have been made to the last album from Johnny Cash; and, I do see the similarities. Contextually, it’s still Campbell delivering his usual high caliber performance, but the re-envisioned productions are stunning in their starkness.

Demonstrating once again that his characteristic warmth and sense of humor are intact, Campbell titled the album See You There, an expression that’s been a trademark of his for decades, but takes on an added poignancy at this stage of his life and career. If you’re a fan; this is a must-have.

Robert Vaughn

GRANT CRIES UNCLE --- Though it’s been called the least necessary TV remake; Brit-Hugh Grant has been cast in the Guy Ritchie-remake of TV’s The Man From Uncle. Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer are the leads. I loved this show, which ran from 1964-1968 and starred Robert Vaughn and David McCallum.

This long-in-the-works remake, has at times announced George Clooney and Tom Cruise as it stars; and, director Steven Soderbergh was initially picked to direct. Honestly, I hope it’s good … but, after this summer’s disaster of The Lone Ranger; I am a bit worried. I only hope that both Vaughn and McCallum are at least cameo-ed in the flick. Stay tuned!

ANGELA EXITS WPLJ --- Our dear friend Theresa Angela, who fronted the promotional activities for NYC’s WPLJ, departs this week. We've worked with her for years and have found her to be one of the nicest and most capable personalities out there. Her assistance at so many events (especially when Tom Cuddy was involved) was especially excellent. She is, one of the key gate-keepers out there and she'd be a valuable asset anywhere. She'll announce her plans shortly. Thanks Theresa.

Katy Perry

GAGA & PERRY --- Strange occurrence this week; both new songs from Lady Gaga (“Applause”) and Katy Perry (“Roar”) were leaked first on the Internet. Planned, or not planned? Both artists came out with statements decrying the incident. Industry-soothsayers say the former is what actually happened. The item was a trending item on yesterday’s Today Show. Me, I say a well-planned campaign is the only answer. OK, girls … you're off and running.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry and John Mayer have once again said goodbye -- for now. The pop songstress, 28, and singer-songwriter, 35, have split for the second time, multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly. The high-profile pair began casually dating during summer 2012, and briefly called it quits back in August before reconciling the next month.

"It's sad," one pal tells Us, but cautions that it might not be a permanent break. "It's not over until it's over. You have to see how things play out." Adds another source: "She's leaving the window open. They have both been so focused on work."

Indeed, Perry has been busy recording her third studio album in Los Angeles, while Mayer -- on the mend following serious vocal problems and throat surgery last year -- is prepping for upcoming tour dates and a live Google Hangout chat this Thursday, March 21.

Following their September 2012 reconciliation, the twosome seemed to ramp up their relationship: The "Waiting on the World to Change" troubadour visited Perry's Santa Barbara hometown in November, they attended high-profile events together as a couple, and Mayer, famous for his string of A-list exes, gushed about Perry in a January 60 Minutes interview. "I'm very happy in all aspects of my life," said Mayer, who had messy splits with the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Love Hewitt, to name a few.

Perry, who finalized her divorce from Russell Brand in February 2012, was tweeting happily about her man as recently as March 2. "My boyfriend is taking me to a kitten shelter in his truck," she wrote to her nearly 34 million followers. "I can't think of a more perfect Saturday." But on Monday, March 18, she suggested she's been dealing with turmoil. "ATTENTION: Mercury is OUT of retrograde today. Thank GOD," Perry wrote.

Katy Perry With Katy Perry

Pop star Katy Perry posed for photos with a Madame Tussauds Las Vegas wax figure of herself at Paramount Studios on Saturday afternoon.

“Whenever I have to go do something particularly that I don’t necessarily want to do, I’m just sending her cause she’s a great identical version of me,” remarked Perry.

The figure of Perry is featured in Madame Tussauds Las Vegas’ Music Room. Guests have the opportunity to get up close and personal with their favorite music icons. Turn the volume to ten by interacting with figures such as Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, Michael Jackson, Prince, James Brown and many more. Guests can move like the King of Pop at a smooth criminal photo experience, get behind the turntable at an interactive DJ booth and channel their inner rock stars while enjoying a karaoke area.

Prince William In US Weekly

The new issue of Us Weekly has all of the details on Prince William and Duchess Kate’s plans to start a family. “They’re excited at the prospect of becoming parents,” says a confidant of the couple, both 30. Now, “they are working on it. In a dream situation, they’d love to be a step closer at Christmas.” Adds a source close to Kate, “They have been on such a high since getting married. It’s time for the next step — Kate is hoping she and William can become parents in 2013.” Though the breathless bump watch started immediately after their April 2011 wedding, the couple had a top-secret plan all along. Their first two years of marriage would be devoted to work, and Operation Heir would begin only after their grueling royal tour of Southeast Asia finished up in September. “Once their malaria medication had run its course,” says an insider, “then it was safe to start. So it’s only been a matter of weeks.” Whenever it does happen, says a source, Kate, like any first-time mom, will wait until just after the first trimester to share the news wide. “It won’t be hidden,” says the source.

Lindsay Lohan

Also in the issue is an exclusive interview with Lindsay Lohan. With Hollywood ready to write her off for good, the troubled starlet tells Us she’s finally getting her act together. “People can think what they want, and the only thing I can do is prove them wrong,” says Lohan. As for the future, Lohan says she does want kids. “I want to adopt a son,” she says. But as for love, she continues, “I’m not focused on that yet. I want to do a ton of movies first. After I win an Oscar, I can start thinking about love. I think there are a lot of directors and producers who know I’m a good actress. I just want them to get past the misconception that I’m not reliable, because I am. I’m going to make them believe in me again.”

Also included below are this week’s Hot Stuff items which include the scoop on Taylor Swift hanging out with Harry Styles, Johnny Depp saying “I love you” to Amber Heard, Katy Perry ducking to avoid ex Russell Brand, and Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum’s wedding plans.

 Harry Styles

TAYLOR SWIFT: Hanging Out With Harry!

The singer holds hands with the One Direction heartthrob

Taylor Swift
Another 18-year-old for Taylor Swift? The singer, 22, welcomed a special visitor as she rehearsed for her live X Factor performance on November 15: One Direction’s Harry Styles! “They lit up when they saw each other and he gave her a giant hug,” says a source of the two (who also hung out at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 6). As the day wore on, Swift got even mushier over the guy. “She was a puppy dog,” marvels another insider. “She didn’t let him out of her sight!” Not that the Brit boy-bander was in a hurry to leave. He sat with her mom, sang along while she practiced and even walked hand in hand with Swift on the set, says a witness. When she finished performing, “Harry picked her up and carried her to the trailer!” adds one insider. The unattached Styles, explains a pal, “acts like he has a crush. They email a lot!” And since splitting with Conor Kennedy, 18, last month, Swift has been ready to mingle: “She doesn’t want to be single.”

JOHNNY & AMBER: He Told Her ‘I Love You!

Amber Heard

Johnny Depp
Clandestine couple no more! Johnny Depp and girlfriend Amber Heard indulged in a rare date night out at Los Angeles’ AV Nightclub November 5. After arriving at 11 p.m., the twosome — who kicked off a romance in late 2011 during their Rum Diary press tour — settled in on the patio, where, a witness says, they sipped nonalcoholic beers sitting side by side. “They were flirty and engaged,” says the source. And their affection was no act. Another insider says the actress, 26, “was telling people they were officially together” at a Gucci party October 27. (Depp, 49, and Vanessa Paradis, 39, split in June 2012 after separating in 2010.) A pal says the Lone Ranger star is serious about the starlet: “They have said ‘I love you.’ ”

Katy Ducks to Avoid Russell

Katy Perry

Think fast! Katy Perry crouched under her table when she spotted former husband Russell Brand at the Beverly Hills Polo Lounge, where she was dining with beau John Mayer, 35, November 11. “The hostess almost seated Russell next to Katy,” a witness tells Hot Stuff. “Katy’s face was like, ‘Oh, s--t!’” After the staffer realized her error, she ushered Brand, 37, to another section. When the comic learned Perry, 28, was there, he couldn’t help but gawk. Says the source, “On his way to the bathroom, he looked at them through a window!”

Ashley’s ‘I Do’ Plans

Ashley Hebert

Bachelorette sweeties Ashley Hebert, 28, and J.P. Rosenbaum, 35, are giddily gearing up for their walk down the aisle. A source says Hebert not only scored star planner Mindy Weiss for the December 1 event in Pasadena, California (airing on ABC December 16), she’s gaga over her gown: “Ashley can’t wait for people to see it!” Invitees getting the first glimpse include show alums Emily Maynard, Trista and Ryan Sutter and (awkward alert!) ex-loves Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez!
