Katherine Jackson Katherine Jackson is proud to announce The 5th Annual Michael Jackson “King of Pop” Tribute Festival of the Arts. This celebration will take place in Gary, Indiana on August 28th, 29th and 30th 2014 at 2300 Jackson St; the birth home of Michael Jackson, the festival village will encompass the entire Roosevelt high school campus. This year’s tribute festival is different from previous years. The theme is “Art for Life” and we will be showcasing undiscovered talent; in a celebration of the Jackson 5 breakout success from their humble beginnings in Gary.

Deceased star Michael Jackson's mom Katherine has had another try to take control of her son’s estate denied by a Los Angeles California judge. The mother lost her fight to remain in charge of her son's estate earlier this month, after she was awarded temporary administration in the days immediately following the singer’s death on June 25th. On July 6th, Los Angeles probate judge Mitchell Beckloff ruled that a 2002 will, in which the star nominated his attorney John Branca and veteran music executive John McClain as executors, was valid, leaving Katherine Jackson without a say in any decisions made about the huge estate.In the will, which the Jackson family reportedly knew nothing about, Michael left his estate to a family trust and selected charities.
