**** CHRIS ROCK HAS GOOD HAIR DAY **** Chris Rock A United States judge has dismissed a $5 million plagiarism lawsuit against comedian and actor Chris Rock. The award winning star was at the center of a suit from Regina Kimbell, who alleged he stole her ideas for his upcoming documentary "Good Hair." Kimbell claimed she showed Rock her show, "My Nappy Roots", which featured celebrities discussing different African-American hairdos, back in 2007, and he then ripped off her idea. Rock hit back at the allegations, insisting the only similarity between the projects was the topic. And a judge agreed with him, dismissing the suit on Thursday according to TMZ.com . Chris Rock Comic Chris Rock is writing a follow-up to his first book. The new project will follow a similar theme to his 1997 release Rock This! - a cross between an autobiography and the comedian’s stand-up routine in comedy clubs. Grant Central Publishing spokesperson Deb Futter says, "We are so excited to be publishing Chris Rock, especially because he hasn’t published a book in many years so this one will be highly anticipated." Chris Rock says DNA test results show he isn't the father of an ex-love's 13-year-old son.The 'Bad Company' star and his wife Malaak released a statement the other day slamming Kali Bowyer for her "grossly inaccurate" claim that he is the father of her son Jordan.The couple said: "We feel it is necessary to respond to the many grossly inaccurate media reports that were sold to the tabloids by Kali Bowyer who falsely claimed that Chris Rock fathered her 13-year-old son."After multiple lies, including that Chris refused to establish paternity, and after finding out Ms. Bowyer has an extensive criminal record, we personally asked the court to help us establish paternity so we can put this harassment to rest."Last week, it was concluded through DNA testing that Chris is not the father."Rock now intends to "pursue all legal remedies" against Bowyer to cover his court costs.The 42-year-old comic also wants any money Bowyer may have ear...

Kali Bowyer filed a paternity suit against Rock in Georgia's Superior Court last month claiming he was the father of her son Jordan. Rock's lawyer said his client is willing to take the test but is busy promoting his latest movie. Bowyer told the New York Daily News newspaper: "I'm not asking for money for myself nor am I suing him for $1 million. I'm just seeking a DNA test to establish paternity, medical coverage and child support."Bowyer, a 35-year-old freelance journalist, contacted Rock's lawyer shortly after son's birth but admits she never pressed the issue. She got back in contact with Rock's lawyer after Jordan suffered a seizure and she couldn't afford the costly medical bills. Bowyer said: "Chris and I were part of the same group of friends. Stand-up comedian Richard Jeni, who was a frequent guest on the popular Tonight Show and appeared in several films, has died in an apparent suicide. Los Angeles police said a woman called on Saturday and reported her boyfriend had "just shot himself in the face". Police officers found Jeni, 49, alive but fatally wounded in a West Hollywood home. He died later in hospital. Police spokeswoman Norma Eisenman said suicide had not been officially confirmed. An autopsy is due on Monday. Jeni appeared in The Mask as Jim Carrey's best friend and had roles in several other films including The Aristocrats, Burn, Hollywood, Burn and National Lampoon's Dad's Week Off. He was a close friend of comedian Chris Rock, appearing in his sitcom Everybody Hates Chris and writing material for Rock's stint hosting the Oscars in 2005.
