BOOMER ESIASON TALKS ABOUT 'AMERICAN SNIPER'

Boomer Esiason

In the May issue of Metropolis Nights magazine, former Jet QB turned morning radio/Super Bowl announcer Boomer Esiason proves his voice has juice. Boomer recently blasted his former University of Maryland for banning the film "American Sniper."........ But during an interview with Chaunce Hayden, Boomer admitted that the University heard his on-air tongue lashing and decided to show the film!

CHAUNCE HAYDEN: You recently said you would never attend a University of Maryland event because they refused to show a screening of "American Sniper." Do you still feel that way?

BOOMER ESIASON: Actually, they sent me an email saying that they are going to show the movie. I was really disgusted by that story. I'm an American and I believe in freedom of speech. They had the right to show that movie and the movie should be shown. You don't let one group tell you that you can't show the movie. I lost over 50 people on 9/11. My offices were up on the 101st floor on the World Trade Center. I lost everything. I can't even begin to tell you how many people I lost that day. I spent a month on that pile of rubble with the EMT people delivering food. It pisses me off that 14 years later, everyone has forgotten what it was like here back then. So when a group of Islamic students attack "American Sniper", I see it as a personal attack. Chris Kyle was an American hero...show the movie!
